Heaney (1-1) earned the win Friday versus the Blue Jays, allowing three hits and two walks while striking out nine over six scoreless innings.
EDGE Analysis
Heaney had a tough season debut against the White Sox -- giving up seven runs in three innings -- but he rebounded with a much better second start of the year. The southpaw allowed only three runs to get past first base, and none of them scored. He's posted a 13:4 K:BB across nine innings this season. Heaney is expected to face the Twins next Friday. He could instead see the Royals earlier in the week, depending on the status of Shohei Ohtani (finger).

Heaney (0-1) gave up seven earned runs on five hits and two walks while striking out four over three innings Friday against the White Sox. He took the loss.
EDGE Analysis
Heaney was superb through the first two innings, touching 95 mph with his fastball after averaging 91.5 mph with his heater in 2020. He struck out three in the first two scoreless frames, but then the White Sox got going and tagged him for four in the third and three in the fourth, leading to Heaney getting pulled in the fourth without recording an out that inning. He should start next weekend in Dunedin against the Blue Jays.

Heaney hurled five scoreless innings in a Cactus League contest versus Milwaukee on Thursday, allowing one hit and two walks while striking out eight.
EDGE Analysis
Heaney got through 4.1 frames before the Brewers notched their first hit, and the single was quickly wiped out by an inning-ending double play. The southpaw had his full arsenal working in the contest, racking up eight strikeouts and 18 swinging strikes, per Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times. Heaney entered the contest with only two strikeouts across 4.2 innings, though his last outing came in a B game that did not count toward his spring stats. The 29-year-old is slated to fill a role in the middle of the Angels' six-man rotation this season.

Heaney signed a one-year, $6.75 million contract with the Angels on Friday to avoid arbitration, Robert Murray of FanSided.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The left-hander is in his final year of arbitration eligibility and had a 4.46 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 70:19 K:BB across 66.2 innings during 2020. Heaney should be positioned in the middle of the Halos' starting rotation entering spring training.

Heaney took a no-decision during Friday's loss to the Dodgers, surrendering five runs on eight hits and a pair of walks while striking out three across four innings.
EDGE Analysis
Heaney was largely hurt by the long ball against a volatile Dodgers lineup, giving up a pair of home runs to Justin Turner and another blast to A.J. Pollock. It was a tough outing for the 29-year-old southpaw, who had compiled a 2.70 ERA over his last five starts coming into Friday's game. Heaney closes out the regular season campaign with a 4-4 record, 4.46 ERA and 1.23 WHIP.

Heaney gave up three runs on six hits and a walk with eight strikeouts in 6.2 innings in a no-decision versus the Rangers on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Heaney got his mistakes out of the way in the first inning, when he gave up a solo shot to Leody Taveras and a two-run homer to Rougned Odor. The Angels got Heaney off the hook by tying the game in the fifth. The southpaw has a 4.02 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 67 strikeouts across 62.2 innings this season. He'll carry a 4-3 record into his final start of the regular season, which is currently expected to be Friday against the Dodgers.

Heaney (4-3) picked up the win Sunday against the Rockies, allowing three runs on eight hits across seven innings. He struck out eight and did not issue a walk.
EDGE Analysis
It marked a nice bounce back for the southpaw, who allowed five runs in a loss to the Rangers on Sept. 8. Heaney fell behind 3-1 in the third inning, but buckled down to finish with four scoreless frames. It was looking like he might be a tough-luck loser after the seventh, but Albert Pujols's eighth-inning homer put him in line to get the win. The lefty will take a 4.02 ERA into his start against the Rangers on Saturday.

Heaney (3-3) took the loss against Texas on Tuesday, tossing five innings and allowing five runs (three earned) on five hits and one walk while striking out four.
EDGE Analysis
The southpaw's struggles weren't entirely his own doing -- a fourth-inning error allowed a pair of runs to cross the plate on what should have been the third out -- but Heaney's performance was nonetheless a step down from the dominance he displayed in his previous two starts. After notching 16 strikeouts over 14.2 innings across his last two appearances, Heaney managed to induce only seven swinging strikes and four total strikeouts Tuesday. He'll look to get back into the win column in a road matchup against Colorado on Sunday.

Heaney (3-2) earned the win against San Diego on Thursday, pitching seven scoreless innings and allowing three hits and two walks while striking out six.
EDGE Analysis
Heaney cruised to his second straight quality start in the impressive performance, holding the Padres without an extra-base hit and allowing only one runner to reach second base. He induced 15 swinging strikes and set a career high by tossing 117 pitches. Following a rough three-game stretch in which he yielded 14 earned runs in 14 innings, the southpaw appears to be back in a groove, allowing only one run and striking out 16 over his last 14.2 frames. He'll try to continue building momentum when he heads to Texas to face the Rangers on Wednesday in his next scheduled start.

Heaney (2-2) earned the win Friday against the Mariners. He tossed 7.2 innings of one-run ball, allowing four hits and two walks while fanning 10.
EDGE Analysis
Heaney was absolutely filthy Friday, tossing 71 of his 104 pitches for strikes while registering a season-high mark for strikeouts. Heaney was coming off three straight starts allowing four or more runs, so this should be a big confidence booster for the veteran. His next scheduled start will come Sep. 2 at home in a tough matchup against the Padres.
