Heany (4-6) took the loss Tuesday against the Yankees after surrendering seven runs on five hits with four strikeouts and four walks across three innings.
EDGE Analysis
Heaney needed 77 pitches to record nine outs and tied season highs by issuing four free passes and serving up three homers. It's the third consecutive loss for the left-hander, who now has a 5.40 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 89:24 K:BB over 71.2 innings through 14 starts.

Heaney (4-5) took the loss against San Francisco on Tuesday, allowing five runs on 10 hits and no walks while striking out 10 over six innings.
EDGE Analysis
The left-hander got into big trouble early, giving up four runs in the first inning and another in the second. He recovered to give the Angels six frames and 107 pitches, but the team's offense was unable to muster any protest against San Francisco's pitching. Heaney's outing wasn't a complete disaster, as he tied his season high with 10 strikeouts and didn't issue any free passes for the first time since May 12. He will carry a 4.72 ERA into his next start, which is expected to come on the road against the Yankees early next week.

Heaney (4-4) took the loss against Oakland on Tuesday, pitching five innings and allowing three runs on five hits and one walk while striking out six.
EDGE Analysis
The left-hander entered the contest riding a three-start win streak, and though he wasn't abysmal against the Athletics, he was outdueled by opposing starter Frankie Montas to end up with the loss. Heaney did extend his streak of pitching at least five innings and allowing three or fewer runs to four games, and he didn't allow any long balls for the third straight contest. He owns a 4.45 ERA on the season and is tentatively scheduled to face San Francisco at home Tuesday in his next start.

Heaney (4-3) allowed one earned run on six hits and two walks while striking out seven across 6.2 innings, earning the win over the Royals on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Heaney's only run allowed came on a Hanser Alberto double in the seventh inning. He threw 109 pitches in 6.2 innings, one pitch short of his season high. After having six starts in a row without earning a win, Heaney has been victorious in his last three outings. The 30-year-old's ERA is down to 4.37 and he has a 10.8 K/9 in 57.2 innings. He will have to wait until next week to make his next start due to the Angels running a six-man rotation.

Heaney limited the Giants to one run over 6.1 innings to even his record at 3-3 in Tuesday's 8-1 win over the Angels. He scattered five hits and one walk while striking out seven in the start.
EDGE Analysis
After failing to secure a quality start in each of his last three outings, Heaney showed improved command and control to stymie a Giants offense that's been one of the majors' stronger units versus left-handed pitching this season. The 29-year-old has long teased the ability to shut down an offense on a given night, but start-to-start consistency is still an issue for Heaney in his eighth season in the big leagues. With a 4.76 ERA (3.62 xFIP), 1.24 WHIP and 21.1 K-BB% through his first 10 outings, Heaney is probably best viewed as more of a streaming option than a must-start pitcher in shallower leagues.

Heaney (2-3) earned the win over Texas on Tuesday, hurling 5.2 innings and allowing three runs on four hits and four walks while striking out five.
EDGE Analysis
It wasn't an especially impressive outing for the southpaw -- he threw only 66 of 105 pitches for strikes and issued a season-high four walks -- but he stuck around long enough to earn his first victory since April 9. Heaney did induce 16 swinging strikes in the contest despite finishing with a modest five strikeouts. Heaney has struggled with a 7.71 ERA and 1.79 WHIP over his past three contests, so he'll certainly take this win despite the mediocre showing. His next start is tentatively projected to come at San Francisco early next week.

Heaney allowed five runs (four earned) on six hits and two walks while striking out just one batter over three innings Tuesday against Cleveland. He did not factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Heaney allowed all five runs in the first inning. The damage started on a two-run homer by Jose Ramirez and worsened after another two runners crossed home on a fielding error and the final run of the frame scored on a sacrifice fly. The 30-year-old had little trouble the rest of his outing but had to be pulled after just three innings with his pitch count already at 81. Heaney's X-factor is typically his strikeouts but he only managed one punch out Tuesday while walking two batters in a disappointing performance. He'll take a 5.31 ERA into his next scheduled start against Oakland over the weekend.

Heaney (1-3) allowed five earned runs on nine hits while striking out five across 5.1 innings to take the loss to the Astros on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Heaney was lit up for three home runs on Wednesday. Jose Altuve hit one off the foul pole on the first pitch of the game and things never got better for Heaney. The 30-year-old is very inconsistent this season, with outings where he struck out 10 allowing no runs, and then outings like Wednesday. His 12.3 K/9 is fourth-highest in the American League. He carries a 4.75 ERA through 36 innings.

Heaney did not allow a run on four hits and walked one while striking out ten over 6.2 innings of work in Thursday's loss to the Rays. He didn't factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
The lefty had his best outing of the year as he threw 60 of his 95 pitches for strikes. The 29-year-old now holds a 4.20 ERA on the year and if he can find consistency, the Angels will be able to have another reliant arm on their limited pitching staff.

Heaney (1-2) took the loss against Seattle on Friday, pitching 3.1 innings and allowing four runs on six hits and two walks while striking out five.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander came into the contest riding a strong three-game stretch during which he allowed only three earned runs over 17.2 frames. Seattle put an end to the string of excellent starts, swatting three homers off Heaney and putting up four runs. The hurler needed 90 pitches to record 10 outs, and he left following a Tom Murphy long ball with one out in the fourth inning. A pair of blowups early in the campaign has elevated Heaney's ERA to 5.25, though he has posted an excellent 34:9 K:BB across 24 frames. His next start is tentatively scheduled for Thursday at home against Tampa Bay.
