Heaney (7-8) earned the win over Seattle on Saturday, pitching six innings and allowing four runs on four hits and three walks while striking out nine.
EDGE Analysis
Things didn't look good for the southpaw in the early going, as he allowed two runs in each of the first two innings. However, Heaney settled down and kept the Mariners off the scoreboard the rest of the way to notch his first win since joining New York on July 30. The veteran hurler struck out nine while providing the team with some much-needed length after the Yankees used nine pitchers in Friday's extra-innings victory. Heaney will carry a 5.45 ERA into his next start, which is scheduled to come on the road against the White Sox next week.

Heaney (6-8) allowed four runs on six hits and struck out four over four innings, taking the loss versus Baltimore on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
The southpaw gave up a season-high four home runs in the contest, although all were of the solo shot variety. Heaney has now allowed 20 homers across 19 starts this year. He has a 5.42 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 117:31 K:BB across 98 innings. He'll hope to keep the ball in the yard better when he makes his next start versus Seattle this weekend.

Heaney is scheduled to start in his Yankees debut Monday against the Orioles in New York, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Rather than making a big swing to upgrade their rotation ahead of the trade deadline, the Yankees opted for a buy-low move with the addition of Heaney, who turned in a solid 20.4 K-BB% but a less palatable 5.27 ERA and 1.31 WHIP over 18 starts with the Angels. Though most of his peripherals point to some likely improvement in his ERA, Heaney has been bit hard by the long ball (1.5 HR/9) this season, and Yankee Stadium won't be the most favorable environment for him to make progress on that front.

Heaney was sent from the Angels to the Yankees in exchange for Janson Junk and Elvis Peguero on Friday, Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Heaney owns a 5.27 ERA in 18 starts this season, though that hides a much more impressive set of peripherals. His 28.2 percent strikeout rate and 7.7 percent walk rate are both strong numbers and should in theory be enough to offset a low 33.5 percent groundball rate going forward, as his 4.05 FIP and 3.81 xFIP suggest. Being a flyball pitcher could cause problems for the lefty in Yankee Stadium, however.

Heaney allowed three runs on four hits and three walks while striking out eight over six innings Wednesday against the Rockies. He did not factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Heaney put together back-to-back quality starts this season for just the second time Wednesday after holding the Rockies to three runs over six innings. He got off to a rough start after two-run homer from Trevor Story in the first inning, but he settled in thereafter, only allowing another run to score on a wild pitch in the fourth. The 30-year-old has had an up-and-down season but is currently riding a nice groove heading into August. Heaney owns a 5.27 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 113:31 K:BB over 94 innings and is set up for a rewarding matchup against the Rangers next week.

Heaney (6-7) earned the win Thursday against the Twins after tossing seven innings of two-run ball, allowing four hits and two walks while fanning seven.
EDGE Analysis
Heaney hadn't pitched more than 5.1 innings in any of his three previous starts, but he bounced back admirably here with his longest outing of the campaign and his sixth quality start of the year. The veteran southpaw owns a 5.40 ERA since the beginning of June, but this outing was clearly a step in the right direction. He's expected to make his next start next week at home against the Rockies.

Heaney (5-7) allowed four earned runs on six hits while striking out four across four innings, taking the loss to the Mariners on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Heaney surrendered a two-run homer to Kyle Seager as a part of a three-run third inning. The 30-year-old has struggled in his last five starts, going 1-4 with a 8.49 ERA and 1.67 WHIP across 23.1 innings. His current 5.56 ERA is set to be his worst career ERA in any season that he pitched at least 30 innings. The southpaw will look to turn the tide in his next start Thursday in Minnesota.

Heaney (5-6) allowed three runs on six hits and two walks with five strikeouts in 5.1 innings to earn the win Wednesday over Boston.
EDGE Analysis
Heaney was touched up for seven runs in three innings versus the Yankees in his previous start, but he bounced back well Wednesday. The southpaw is still in a bit of a rut, with 18 runs allowed in his last 19.1 innings, but he was able to snap a three-start losing streak. The 30-year-old owns a 5.38 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 94:26 K:BB across 77 innings through the first half of the season.

Heany (4-6) took the loss Tuesday against the Yankees after surrendering seven runs on five hits with four strikeouts and four walks across three innings.
EDGE Analysis
Heaney needed 77 pitches to record nine outs and tied season highs by issuing four free passes and serving up three homers. It's the third consecutive loss for the left-hander, who now has a 5.40 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 89:24 K:BB over 71.2 innings through 14 starts.

Heaney (4-5) took the loss against San Francisco on Tuesday, allowing five runs on 10 hits and no walks while striking out 10 over six innings.
EDGE Analysis
The left-hander got into big trouble early, giving up four runs in the first inning and another in the second. He recovered to give the Angels six frames and 107 pitches, but the team's offense was unable to muster any protest against San Francisco's pitching. Heaney's outing wasn't a complete disaster, as he tied his season high with 10 strikeouts and didn't issue any free passes for the first time since May 12. He will carry a 4.72 ERA into his next start, which is expected to come on the road against the Yankees early next week.
