An MRI conducted on Allen Craig revealed no fracture in his injured left foot. This is great news for the Cardinals, even though Craig was diagnosed with a foot sprain that needs some rest. Craig left Wednesday's game after suffering the foot injury while attempting to round first base. He'll probably require at least a few games off.

Allen Craig will undergo an MRI on his injured left foot Thursday back in St. Louis. Craig departed Wednesday's game in Cincinnati after spraining his left foot while attempting to round first base and will obviously not play in Thursday's series finale. "It scared me because my foot has never bent like that before," Craig said after the 16-inning victory. "I tried to walk it off because it was a little sore. It's still sore. We'll figure out the extent of it tomorrow. Hope it's good."

Cardinals manager Mike Matheny said late Wednesday night that Allen Craig will head back to St. Louis to "get a closer look" at his sprained left foot. Craig suffered the sprain while running the bases in the third inning Wednesday and will not be around for Thursday's series finale in Cincinnati. Matt Adams is likely to start at first base. Craig is questionable for Friday's series opener at home against the Pirates.

Allen Craig has been diagnosed with a left foot sprain. Craig was injured during Wednesday's game against the Reds while trying to avoid running into first base umpire Laz Diaz after reaching on an infield single. He was able to walk off under his own power, suggesting the ailment isn't serious, but more will be known after he's re-evaluated on Thursday.

Allen Craig left Wednesday's game against the Reds with a left ankle injury. Craig stumbled while trying to avoid running into first base umpire Laz Diaz after reaching on an infield single in the fourth. It looked bad initially, as he immediately fell to the ground in pain. He was able to walk off without any assistance, though, so it appears he escaped a serious injury. The Cardinals should update his status before long.

He's up to 95 RBI for the season, tying him with Brandon Phillips for second place in the NL behind Paul Goldschmidt. He also doubled and singled tonight.
