Colome worked around a pair of hits and struck out two en route to his 26th save of the season Thursday against the Royals.
EDGE Analysis
Colome hadn't given up a hit in his previous four outings (all of which ended in saves) until Thursday's afternoon affair. His 26th save in 27 chances pushed him into a tied with White Sox closer David Robertson for third in the AL. Although he got the win by pitching a scoreless eighth, Brad Boxberger didn't put any pressure on Colome by allowing two hits and walk in his inning of work.

Colome struck out two in a perfect ninth inning Sunday to pick up his 25th save of the season in a 5-3 win over the Yankees.
EDGE Analysis
Brad Boxberger, just off the DL, worked the seventh inning in this one and appears to be no threat to Colome's grip on the closer role. The 27-year-old now sports an impressive 2.11 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 50:12 K:BB in 38.1 innings on the season to go along with his 25-for-26 performance in save situations.

Colome notched his 24th save by striking out the side in the ninth in Saturday's 6-3 victory over the Yankees.
EDGE Analysis
The Rays closer just keeps rolling along, with Saturday's effort marking his third save in the last four days. Colome sports a sparkling 2.17 ERA and 1.04 WHIP this season, along with a 23-for-24 tally in save opportunities.

Colome recorded his 23rd save by recording two outs in the ninth inning of Friday's 5-1 victory over the Yankees.
EDGE Analysis
The Rays closer needed only five pitches-- four of which he threw for strikes-- to close out a second consecutive gem by Jake Odorizzi. After last Saturday's improbable blown save against the A's in which he surrendered three earned runs in just two-thirds of an inning, Colome has bounced back with two consecutive saves in as many chances.

Colome recorded his 22nd save of the season with a 1-2-3 ninth-inning against the Dodgers on Wednesday. He struck out one batter.
EDGE Analysis
In addition to the strikeout, Colome induced two ground outs. It was a nice bounce back performance after he blew his first save of the season in his last appearance Saturday. Colome is 22-for-23 in save opportunities with a 2.27 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 45 strikeouts in 35.2 innings.

Colome allowed three runs on two hits and a walk over 0.2 innings to blow his first save of the season Saturday against Oakland. He struck out one.
EDGE Analysis
Colome fell victim to the long-ball Saturday, as he yielded a two-run blast to Jake Smolinski which tied the game before Ryon Healy launched a solo shot to center to win the game. Colome had yet to blow a save before Saturday, and this was the first time he had been scored upon since returning from a long stint on the disabled list. The All-Star still has a 2.34 ERA and should remain a strong fantasy asset moving forward.

He looked strong in his first outing following the All-Star break and Colome now has a 1.64 ERA and 42:11 K:BB in 33 innings to go along with his perfect 20-for-20 record in save opportunities.

Colome was chosen for the American League All-Star team Tuesday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 27-year-old reliever has been a revelation this season while last year's closer Brad Boxberger (oblique) has battled injuries. Colome has converted all 19 of his save opportunities in 2016, ranking him fifth in the AL in that category. He's generated a stellar 1.71 ERA in the process, while fanning 39 over 31.2 innings. Colome made a succesful return Tuesday from a DL stint due to biceps tendinitis, and expressed both amazement and gratitude for the chain of events and opportunity that allowed him to secure the honor. "It's something crazy,'' he said. "In spring training I never think about being in the All-Star Game. I don't know what I'm doing - Boxberger is closing I take maybe the eighth (inning), the seventh. And I have the opportunity to take the closer (role) and do the job, and they give me the opportunity.''

Colome (biceps) was activated off the 15-day disabled list Tuesday, Steve Carney of 620 WDAE reports.
EDGE Analysis
Colome's brief stint on the DL came to an end Tuesday as he was able to return after the minimum 15 days. Given Tampa's recent struggles in the bullpen, Colome's return figures to be a huge boon in the back end. He figures to reclaim his role as the closer, a role he's been extremely effective in this season with 19 saves and a 1.76 ERA.

Colome expects to be activated Tuesday, Roger Mooney of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Colome said he felt fine after his bullpen session and will be able to return from the 15-day DL on his first eligible day as a result. He has established himself as a force out of the Rays bullpen with 19 saves, a 1.76 ERA and 38 strikeouts in 30.2 innings this year.
