Oller (ribs) was reinstated from the 15-day injured list Friday, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
After being placed on the IL with rib costochondritis on Sept. 6, Oller is officially healthy enough to help the Athletics close out the season. He will take the spot of Collin Wiles on the roster, who was placed on the injured list Friday with a strained right shoulder.

Oller (ribs) has a chance to return from the injured list by Friday, the Associated Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander faced live hitters Monday at the A's complex in Arizona on Monday without any apparent setbacks. Oller has been on the injured list since Sept. 6, but with the minor-league season coming to an end as well, the team may opt to simply have Oller return without any rehab outings.

Oller (ribs) is slated to throw a bullpen session Friday, the Associated Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
Oller began a throwing progression Tuesday, and he's apparently been free of any residual effects in subsequent days. Consequently, he'll throw off a mound Friday as his next step, and manager Mark Kotsay noted the reliever will be "on track to be ready to go if everything goes well", seemingly giving Oller, who's already eligible for activation, a chance to return before the end of the regular season.

Oller (ribs) began his throwing progression Tuesday, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Oller has been held out of action since being placed on the injured list Sept. 6, but he has officially begun the journey back. If all goes well, there is still a chance that Oller returns to Oakland's rotation before the end of the season.

Oller was placed on the 15-day injured list Tuesday with right rib costochondritis, Matt Kawahara of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Oller has given up nine earned runs over his last three starts, and now things get worse for him as he finds himself on the injured list. He is eligible to return starting Sept. 21.

Oller (2-7) took the loss Saturday versus the Orioles, allowing six runs on eight hits and three walks with four strikeouts in five innings.
EDGE Analysis
Oller allowed all six runs via four of the Orioles' five home runs in the contest. Ryan Mountcastle had a pair of two-run blasts while Cedric Mullins and Anthony Santander added solo shots. Oller had gone five outings since he last allowed multiple homers. The dismal start raised his ERA to 6.01 with a 1.57 WHIP and 44:37 K:BB through 73.1 innings across 18 appearances (13 starts). Oakland appears set to roll with a six-man rotation, with Oller expected to draw a home start versus the White Sox next weekend.

Oller registered a no-decision during Saturday's 3-2 win against the Yankees, allowing one hit and one walk with three strikeouts across eight scoreless innings.
EDGE Analysis
Oller submitted the best start of his short career by far in allowing only three baserunners and facing the minimum 24 batters thanks to a double play, pickoff and caught stealing. The 27-year-old fired 65 of 88 pitches for strikes with 10 of the swinging variety and got ahead often with first-pitch strikes to 19 of 24 batters. The excellent start lowers Oller's ERA and WHIP to 5.66 and 1.52 respectively, and he's scheduled to take the mound again next weekend in Baltimore.

Oller (2-6) took the loss against Miami on Monday, allowing three runs on five hits and five walks while striking out two batters over six innings.
EDGE Analysis
Oller was in trouble for much of his outing -- he allowed at least one baserunner in each of his first five innings before finally retiring the side in order in the sixth -- but he did relatively well in holding the Marlins to three runs. However, Edward Cabrera tossed a gem for Miami, and Oller was therefore stuck with the loss. The Oakland right-hander continued a recent trend of issuing too many free passes, as his five walks were a season high and marked the third time in his past four outings he has walked at least three batters. Oller does have consecutive quality starts for the first time this season, but he'll need to show better control to win games consistently.

Oller (2-5) earned the win Wednesday, allowing one run on five hits and one walk over six innings against the Rangers. He struck out four.
EDGE Analysis
Oller cruised through six innings on just 77 pitches, as Texas could not get much going against him. The quality start is Oller's first on the season and is a welcome sight after he allowed a combined 16 runs over his previous 25.1 innings. He'll carry a 6.63 ERA into his next start, which figures to be next week against the Marlins.

Oller gave up two earned runs on five hits and three walks over 4.2 innings in a 7-5 loss to the Astros on Friday. He struck out two and did not factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Oller came into the fifth having only given up one run, but he was not able to make it out of inning. He was pulled after 78 pitches and the runner he left on base came in to score on a Kyle Tucker grand slam off reliever Sam Moll three batters later. Oller has struggled so far in his rookie season. He has an ERA of 7.26 and a WHIP of 1.78 over nine starts and 14 appearances. Oller's batted-ball metrics are some of the worst in the majors so there is no sign that his fortunes are about to turn around. The 27-year-old right-hander is expected to take the mound next week at Texas.
