Adam Lind (back) could return to the Blue Jays early next week for a series against the Yankees. David Cooper has a back injury, so the Jays will speed up Lind's timetable. He was expected to play at least nine minor league rehab games but now might only get four. The 29-year-old is batting just .227/.298/.394 with eight home runs in 218 plate appearances this season.

Adam Lind (back) will play at least nine minor league rehab games before returning to the Blue Jays. Lind has been on the disabled list since the end of July because of lower back tightness. He's batting just .227/.298/.394 with eight homers in 58 games this year, so the Jays are in no hurry to get him back.

Adam Lind (back) was cleared for batting practice Friday. Lind was place on the disabled list in July with lower back issues, but could be close to being sent on a rehab assignment. When healthy, he figures to see most of his playing time against right-handed pitching.

Adam Lind is still experiencing soreness in his back. Lind has tried to progress past light soft toss and tee work, but he keeps having minor setbacks. The Blue Jays have no timetable for his return from the disabled list. He has been on the shelf since late July.

Blue Jays placed 1B Adam Lind on the 15-day disabled list with lower back tightness. Lind missed a third straight game on Sunday and had not made significant progress by Monday morning. He should be ready for activation as soon as his 15 days are up.

Adam Lind (lower back) is not in the Blue Jays' lineup Saturday for the second straight game. A decision on whether Lind needs a stint on disabled list will be made prior to Monday's game in Seattle. For now, consider this a day-to-day situation. Yan Gomes will continue to fill in at first base.

Adam Lind was moved up to No. 5 in the batting order for Wednesday's game. Entering Wednesday, Lind is batting .250 with three homers over 24 at-bats since coming back from the minors. He could conceivably churn out some mixed league value again if he's got his swing back in order. "I think it was important for [Lind] to come up and just kind of get back in the flow of things, rather than just thrust him back in the middle," Blue Jays manager John Farrell said. "He has taken his at-bats with a freedom about him, in a good place mentally, and ready to go. If he can continue to be as productive as he has been, it adds another powerful bat in the middle of the order."
