Adam Lind will bat second Tuesday against the Orioles. Lind has primarily batted fifth this season, but Blue Jays manager John Gibbons apparently wants to see what he can do as a table-setter. While the 29-year-old is hitting just .231 (9-for-39) so far, he has drawn 10 walks.

Adam Lind knocked in his first two runs of the season in Friday's 8-4 win over the Royals. We'll call it a mini-breakout, as Lind had an RBI double in the first inning and a sacrifice fly in the third. While the 29-year-old has been terrible against southpaws for quite some time now, he could be worth using in deeper daily fantasy leagues when the Jays go up against right-handers.

Adam Lind homered and doubled in the Blue Jays' 6-3 win over the Pirates on Tuesday. Lind figures to be an everyday player initially following a strong spring in which he's hit .358/.419/.547 in 53 at-bats. He's unlikely to be productive enough against lefties to justify those extra starts, but he should put up pretty good power numbers versus righties.

Adam Lind is looking forward to an improved 2013 season offensively, and said Saturday that he is incredibly confident in new Blue Jays hitting coach Chad Mottola. Lind indicated that he was receiving mixed messages over the past few seasons, where former Jays manager John Farrell preached patience at the plate while hitting coach Dwayne Murphy wanted him to be aggressive. Lind was hitting .227/.298/.394 with eight homers through 198 at-bats before a mid-season demotion in 2012. After working with Mottola, who was the Triple-A hitting coach at the time, Lind hit .301/.341/.447 with three homers and 18 RBI over his final 35 games.

Blue Jays manager John Gibbons said the current plan is to start Adam Lind at first base against both right- and left-handers. This, despite, Lind's woeful career .220/.264/.343 batting line against southpaws. Gibbons did note that the Jays could eventually adjust things, which they seem likely to do. Lind batted just .255/.314/.414 with 11 homers in 2012 for Toronto.

Adam Lind went 4-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored in Monday's win over the Twins. His RBI single in the first got the scoring going, and his RBI double in the seventh pulled the Jays to within on run. Lind is now batting .306 with a couple homers and 16 RBI this month.

Adam Lind tallied three RBI in Saturday's loss to the Rays. Lind delivered a sacrifice fly in the first inning, then added a two-run triple in the fifth. Since returning from Triple-A on August 27, he is hitting .258 (23-for-89) with two home runs and 13 RBI in 24 games.

Adam Lind had two hits, including a two-run homer, helping to lead the Blue Jays in an 8-3 rout over Felix Hernandez and the Mariners on Thursday. Lind finished the night 2-for-4 with a homer, double, run scored and two RBI. He got the scoring started early, launching a bomb into the seats in right field with two outs in the first inning. In his 16 games since returning from the DL on August 27, he's hitting .267 (16-for-60) with two homers and eight RBI. As long as he's playing on a nightly basis and hitting in the middle of the Jays lineup, he's worthy of a play in most mixed leagues down the stretch.

Blue Jays general manager Alex Anthopoulos indicated that Adam Lind's future with the team is up in the air. "He has already been sent down at one point and he has been hurt," Anthopoulos said. "I think it's fair to say that if we feel that there is someone else that can do the job, we aren't going to be afraid to do that if that makes the team better." It's hardly a surprise, given that Lind was placed on waivers back in May and has put up an ugly .230/.292/.373 batting line this season. He's under contract for $5 million next season, but what his role will be in 2013 remains to be seen.

Blue Jays activated 1B Adam Lind from the 15-day disabled list. The Blue Jays were hoping to keep Lind in the minors until September, but another rash of injuries has forced their hand. He will see regular action at first base but can probably be ignored in most fantasy formats.
