Duvall is out of the lineup Wednesday against the Indians.
EDGE Analysis
Duvall has been swinging a hot bat in May, bringing his batting average up to .277 to go with seven home runs and 16 RBI on the season, but he hasn't sat for some time due to the recent surge. Tyler Holt will give him the day off Wednesday, batting seventh and filling in for him in left field.

Duvall hit a solo home run, his seventh of the season, in Monday's 15-6 loss to the Indians.
EDGE Analysis
Duvall is enjoying a nice surge at the plate, as he's collected eight hits over his past four games while driving in four runs and scoring four runs. The 27-year-old opened the season in a platoon with Scott Schebler, but with a .284 batting average and solid pop to boot, Duvall has established himself as a full-time player in the corner outfield.

Duvall went 3-for-4 with a steal, a double, two runs and one RBI Sunday at the Phillies.
EDGE Analysis
Duvall doubled home the Reds first run in a game they'd go on to win easily. He's now posted multiple hits in each of his last three games, and his slash line is at .286/.330/.571.

Duvall went 1-for-4 with a solo homer Sunday against the Brewers.
EDGE Analysis
Duvall's sixth homer of the season gave the Reds a three-run lead in a game they'd eventually lose. He's been swinging a hot that this may, as he now has homered in four of his last six games to raise his slugging percentage to .551.

Duvall went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer and two runs against the Brewers on Thursday -- his third homer in as many days.
EDGE Analysis
After homering in the latter two games of the series against the Giants, Duvall opened this four-game weekend set with Milwaukee by keeping his power bat going. The 27-year-old is drawing regular work in left field for the Reds, but his poor plate discipline (as embodied in his 5:27 BB:K and .289 OBP) cancels out much of the pop he provides. Still, at the very least, NL-only owners should be able to find a place for those homers.

Duvall (head) is back in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Giants.
EDGE Analysis
Duvall missed Monday's game with a head injury after running into the outfield wall in Sunday's game, but it appears that it was nothing major as he is back in the lineup. Duvall is hitting .221/.264/.412 with two home runs and five RBI through 21 games.

Duvall isn't starting Monday against the Pirates after running headfirst into an outfield wall Sunday, though manager Bryan Price said that the decision isn't entirely injury-related, the Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
Scott Schebler, who had some big hits over the weekend, is getting the start over Duvall. Schebler's performance earned him a start, but occasionally he starts in place of Billy Hamilton instead of Duvall.

Duvall is out of the lineup Friday against the Pirates.
EDGE Analysis
Since being named the everyday left fielder, Duvall has gone hitless in three of his last four games. He also has 12 strikeouts over his last five games, so it makes sense that he will get a day to clear his head. Scott Schebler will start in left field and hit seventh Friday.

Duvall is "going to primarily be out left fielder," according to Reds manager Bryan Price.
EDGE Analysis
When Cincinnati broke camp, Price decided on a platoon of Duvall and Scot Schebler in left field, but Duvall has been the more productive hitter. He's also been the better defender, among the league's best in left field, according to the advanced defensive metrics at Fangraphs. While naming Duvall the primary left fielder, Price also said there will be plenty of at-bats for Schebler between center field and left.

Duvall is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Rockies, MLB.com's Jamie Ramsey reports.
EDGE Analysis
Tyler Holt will get the start -- his first of the season -- in left field. It's a bit surprising to see Duvall out of the lineup for a matchup with Colorado's Jorge De La Rosa, as the 27-year-old outfielder is 3-for-6 with a pair of walks against left-handed pitching this season.
