Sanchez allowed two runs on three hits with four walks and five strikeouts across five innings while taking a loss against the Orioles on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
The 27-year-old posted his best start since late May, but it didn't do much good, as he still suffered his eighth straight defeat. During the losing streak, his numbers couldn't be much uglier: 10.03 ERA and 2.29 WHIP. Overall, he is 3-12 with a 6.16 ERA, 1.75 WHIP, .288 batting average against and 77 strikeouts in 92 innings this season.

Sanchez is listed as the Blue Jays' starting pitcher Friday versus the Orioles.
EDGE Analysis
Marcus Stroman (pectoral) was scratched from his start Thursday and was a possibility to take the mound Friday, but Sanchez will instead make the start as previously scheduled. Sanchez is enduring the worst season of his major-league career with a 6.31 ERA, 1.77 WHIP and 72:52 K:BB through 87 innings.

Sanchez (3-11) gave up six runs on seven hits and four walks while striking out three over three innings to take the loss against the Royals on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Sanchez allowed six baserunners and five runs in a disastrous third inning that ultimately led to his removal from the game. It's been a rough stretch for the right-hander, as he has lost six games and given up 36 earned runs in June. Since May 1, opponents have a .735 slugging percentage against his fastball. Sanchez will try to bounce back in his next start Friday against the Orioles.

Sanchez (3-10) took the loss Monday as the Blue Jays were downed 10-8 by the Yankees, surrendering seven runs on nine hits and three walks over 5.1 innings while striking out four.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander looked good early, holding the Yankees off the board entirely for the first four innings, but he wilted late, getting tagged for three runs in the fifth and four more in the sixth as part of a seven-run explosion that put the game out of a reach despite a late rally from Toronto. Sanchez now has the dubious distinction of being the first pitcher in the majors to lose 10 games this season, and he'll carry a 5.89 ERA and 69:48 K:BB through 84 innings into his next start Saturday, at home against the Royals.

Sanchez (3-9) allowed seven runs (six earned) on nine hits and two walks while striking out none across 3.2 innings to take the loss Wednesday against the Angels.
EDGE Analysis
Sanchez survived the first frame after allowing two baserunners, but surrendered two home runs to Mike Trout to doom his outing. While getting beaten by Trout isn't all that alarming, Sanchez has flashed very little skill through 78.2 innings this season, surrendering 5.2 BB/9 and 1.4 HR/9. As a result, he's earned a 5.49 ERA and 1.67 WHIP. His next start won't get any easier, as he'll travel to New York to face the Yankees on Monday.

Sanchez (3-8) took the loss Friday, surrendering eight runs on six hits and three walks while striking out four over three innings in a 15-2 rout at the hands of the Astros.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander walked the first two batters he faced on the night, but given what happened once he did start finding the strike zone, Sanchez might have been better off continuing to nibble. He'll carry a 5.04 ERA and 65:43 K:BB through 75 innings into his next start Wednesday, at home against the Angels.

Sanchez (3-7) took the loss Saturday against Arizona after allowing five runs on six hits and four walks in six innings. He struck out just three batters.
EDGE Analysis
Most of the Diamondbacks' damage was done in a three-run third inning in which the first four batters all recorded hits. Sanchez has now allowed nine runs in 12 innings with a 5:7 K:BB over his last two starts, raising his ERA to 4.25. He'll face a tough opponent in his next time out Friday in Houston.

Sanchez (3-6) allowed four runs on seven hits and three walks Sunday, taking the loss against Colorado. He struck out two batters in six innings of work.
EDGE Analysis
Sanchez was spotted a 1-0 lead before he even stepped on the mound but gave up a run in each of the first three innings. At the end of April, the 26-year-old righty was sporting a 2.32 ERA but has since seen it swell up to 3.95 while battling some finger issues. His 58:36 K:BB across 66 frames is also lackluster. Still in search of his first win since April, Sanchez will face Arizona at home Saturday,

Sanchez (finger) will make his scheduled start Sunday against the Rockies, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca reports.
EDGE Analysis
Sanchez has endured multiple finger-related injuries both this season and in the previous two campaigns, but his latest setback won't force him to miss a start. After exiting his May 27 turn early due to a torn fingernail, Sanchez apparently assuaged any concern the Blue Jays had about his health by completing a bullpen session Friday without incident. There's always a possibility that the finger presents problems that force another early departure Sunday, but he'll enter the contest with no specific restrictions.

Sanchez (finger) threw a successful bullpen session Friday and is expected to start Sunday's game against the Rockies, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca reports.
EDGE Analysis
This is positive news for the right-hander, who was forced to depart his last outing after tearing his fingernail. He was able to prove his health Friday and will now prepare for his upcoming start.
