Daniel Paille is suffering from concussion-like symptoms. "Dan has been evaluated. He came to us when we first got to Calgary and talked about not feeling well," coach Claude Julien said. "Once he got evaluated by our trainers it looked like concussion symptoms. So we sent him home to be evaluated by our doctors with what he's had. It was an unfortunate thing that we found out in the last minute, so we scrambled to get a player out [to Calgary]. The first thing we did, though, is send [Paille] home to get taken care of." Paille hasn't played since Dec. 8 and there's no timetable set for his return.

Daniel Paille (upper body) has been sent back to Boston so that he can be evaluated. Paille will miss Thursday's game in Edmonton and Saturday's contest in Vancouver as a result. He has three goals and five points in 30 games this season.

Daniel Paille is out with an upper-body injury. The exact nature of Paille's injury isn't known and there's no timetable for his return. He has no fantasy value in standard leagues.

Daniel Paille made the most of his limited ice time Tuesday night by scoring the game-winning goal for Boston in a 2-1 victory over the Rangers. Paille finished the contest with just 9:41 of ice time and his shorthanded marker in the second period was his only credited shot. "I feel like I could play a little bit more, but I learned a long time ago to accept my role," said Paille. "Hopefully sometime in the future, the opportunity may come when I can step up in my role. But a game like this, I'm more than proud to do it this way." He has four points in 21 games this season.

Daniel Paille netted his second goal of the season in Monday's win over Boston. He scored 20 seconds after Patrice Bergeron gave the Bruins a 1-0 lead against Tampa Bay. Paille ended a nine-game scoring drought with his third point of the year.

Daniel Paille opened the scoring Thursday night with his first marker of the year. He gave the Bruins a 1-0 lead early in the match in what would eventually become a 3-2 victory. Paille is a fourth-line grinder who shouldn't be on your fantasy radar.

Danile Paille has a chance to move up to the third line but the Boston Bruins are still using him on the fourth unit early in training camp. Paille played alongside Shawn Thornton and Greg Campbell in what was the top fourth line in the NHL the past couple of seasons and coach Claude Julien could be hesitant to break up the line. "They actually did look pretty good," Julien said. "They've been together for so long. I know the question is probably a reflection on whether Dan Paille could be moved up. I haven't written that option off. There's no doubt it would affect our other line, our fourth line. As you saw last year when we lost Gregory Campbell, it wasn't the same. So we have to balance out what it is going to mean. At the end of the day, Dan's going to want to help us the best way he can." It appears the best way for Paille to help is to remain on the fourth line. The good news for Paille owners is that the Bruins tend to play Paille as much as a third liner. That being said, do not expect more than 20-25 points from him this season.

Daniel Paille may have a chance to move up to the third line this season. He has been a fixture on Bruins' fourth line over the past few years, but he played well for the team during the playoffs when he was given a chance to skate with Chris Kelly and ex-Boston winger Tyler Seguin. "I want to continue the trend that I had last year and build off that," Paille said. "If an opportunity comes up where I'm able to take advantage of the situation where I could play on that third-line spot, I definitely will. I'm not quite sure what the circumstances will be at this point. I'm not going to go in there with too many expectations. I'm going to go into training camp and see what the position will be. I definitely have no problem with Thorty (Thornton) and Soupy (Campbell) because we've done very well in the past."

Daniel Paille wants to be a more consistent player next season after his strong playoff campaign. Paille had four goals and nine points, including three game-winning goals, in 22 playoff contests and really stepped up after Gregory Campbell went down with a broken leg. Paille says he wants to become more consistent and prove he can be more than a grinder. While he might end up in a bigger role in Boston depending on free agency, the former first-round pick is unlikely to have much fantasy value in most formats.
