Paille left after being crunched by Panthers defenseman Ed Joavanovski. He battled a back injury earlier in the season, there is a chance this latest injury could be related to that back ailment. If he is going to miss time, Jordan Caron would be re-inserted into the Bruins lineup. They are off until Wednesday so they have time to evaluate Paille.

SUNDAY MORNING COFFEE - 11/24/2013 primepucks.com Sun 11/24/13 9:04 AM

Got my cup of coffee and ready to go. It's amazing how far the Rangers, Devils and Flyers have come since their dismal starts. Edmonton has won 3 in a row but they still are buried in the Western Conference. Detroit leads the league in OTLs. Something I'm sure they are not proud of. Boston is playing terrific hockey like they always do in November. What has happened to Carolina's offense this year? Every Bruin had a SOG except Daniel Paille. Olli Jokinen had 7 SOG last night. Remember him? Pavelec plays well in net for Winnipeg except when it's against Chicago, which could be any goalie's problem. Surprised the Toronto-Washington game was a low-scoring 2-1 shootout type. I was hoping for fireworks. D-man John Carlson had 7 SOG to lead the Caps. He also had 4:51 PP time, second only to Ovechkin.  Mike Green, 3 SOG and only 1:09 on the PP.  Is this a changing of the guard in D.C.? Lupul only had 1 SOG. That's not gonna cut it. The Caps have lost 3 in a row. I think they will reverse that trend in the next few games. With 2 goals last night against Montreal, and 6 points in last 3 games, I think it's safe to say that James Neal has recovered from his injury. Max Pacioretty is back! 5 goals in last 3 games. David Desharnais is back too. Not as ‘back' as Max, but back. It appears to me that Bobby Ryan is fitting in quite nicely in Ottawa. That Detroit-Ottawa game was very physical. That Flyer team has really woken up. That's 2 games in a row with 2 goals for Flyer Matt Read. Did the Moulson-Vanek trade hurt the Islanders' team chemistry? St. Louis has the best goal differential in the NHL so far at +29. Huge, Jerry, huge. The Predators got a taste of their own medicine from the Rangers last night, being shutout 2-0. Who is this Cam Talbot anyway? Dustin Penner just loves playing with Anaheim. Colonel Klinkhammer. -2.  Tsk, tsk. Bobby Lou had it going last night against the Hawks, but let in 2 goals in 9 seconds in the 3ed period and that was the end of that. Brodeur had another strong outing for the Devils. It was the "All-Brittle" squad involved in the Sharks 2-1 victory over the Devils. Brent Burns and Martin Havlat chipped in with assists.  Hurry, before they get hurt again. Enjoy your week and have a Happy Thanksgiving to those celebrating!

DAILY PRIME - MAY 22, 2013: IN THE SLOT - OUR PRIMETIME PLAYERS OF ... primepucks.com Wed 5/22/13 9:07 AM

***IN THE SLOT*** OUR PRIMETIME PLAYERS OF THE NIGHT DANIEL PAILLE-LW-BOSTON BRUINS It really hurts win the other teams fourth line beats you, and that is what happened to the Rangers last night. Boston left wing Daniel Paille, who had 17 points in the regular season, scored the game winning goal on a bouncing, flopping puck that Henrik Lundqvist lost sight of with only about 3 minutes left and that was the game. Paille, also, had an assist on the Bruins first goal, so it was a big night for him. Paille is a grinder, and at 29 he is not going to get any better, but he has given the Bruins a 3-0 lead in the series, and the Rangers look beaten. JOE THORNTON-C-SAN JOSE read more
