Dainius Zubrus (wrist) might return on Monday. Zubrus hasn't played in roughly a month. He's still on the injured reserve list, but the Devils have already cleared up a spot for him in the roster by demoting Tim Sestito.

Positive update for injured New Jersey Devils forward Dainius Zubrus on Sunday: he skated with a conditioning coach and took shots. That being said, he only took wrist shots, not slappers. He won't travel with the team so he still has a ways to go on his road to recovery from wrist surgery in February.

According to Devils GM Lou Lamoriello, Dainius Zubrus (wrist) was back skating with a stick in his hands Friday. He has been sidelined since Feb. 5 after undergoing wrist surgery, but he is working his way back.

Dainius Zubrus (wrist) has started skating lightly on his own. According to coach Pete DeBoer, Zubrus hasn't received medical clearance to hold a stick yet though. He underwent surgery on Feb. 14 was originally slated to miss four to six weeks.

Dainius Zubrus (wrist) may resume skating at some point this week. He did some more work off the ice Sunday and has been doing so for the past two weeks following his wrist procedure. He's still on the same timetable (4-6 weeks)," GM Lou Lamoriello said. "Next week will be four weeks (on March 14). As soon as the doctor lets him skate, he'll begin skating."

Dainius Zubrus will miss four to six weeks after undergoing successful wrist surgery on Thursday. If he needs six weeks to recover then it will put him on a schedule to be back in the lineup in late March. Zubrus has been out of commission since Feb. 5.

Dainius Zubrus will have exploratory wrist surgery Thursday and will miss anywhere from two to eight weeks. Devils general manager Lou Lamoriello says the forward's timetable for return depends on what's found during the surgery. This means he could be back by the beginning of March or be out until mid-April. Zubrus has a goal and three assists. Alexei Ponikarovsky will assume Zubrus' role now.

The New Jersey Devils moved Dainius Zubrus, who is out with an upper-body injury, to the injured reserve list. "We're not still sure of how long it will be," said GM Lou Lamoriello regarding Zubrus' status. "We'll have a better knowledge of that over the next 48 hours." He was injured last Tuesday and has sat out four straight games since.

Dainius Zubrus' upper-body injury will be reevaluated by team doctors in the next couple of days. "I'd rather be safe than sorry," GM Lou Lamoriello said. "We'll see what happens as soon as the doctors evaluate him at the appropriate time and they know more." Until the tests are complete the Devils don't want talk about the severity of the ailment, which is suspected to be to his back.
