Zubrus will miss Tuesday's game against the Blackhawks due to lacerations on his leg. The winger took a slash to his left leg in Monday's contest and appears to be in too much pain to play through the ailment. Tuesday will mark the first game that he's sat out all season.

Zubrus suffered a cut on his left leg during Monday's game against the Hurricanes, Tom Gulitti of The Record reports. Zubrus was limited to just over nine minutes on the ice Monday and should be considered day-to-day moving forward. Unfortunately for Zubrus, the Devils have a quick turnaround and will play the Blackhawks on Tuesday.

Zubrus picked up an assist Saturday in a loss to the Capitals. It's just his fourth point in 27 games. His value comes on the defensive side of the ledger, not the offensive one. Use, but only if desperate.

Zubrus scored his second goal of the season in Tuesday's loss to the Penguins. The Devils place a lot of value in Zubrus' versatility on both even strength and special teams, but from a fantasy perspective, he may be one of the league's least productive top-six forwards. Zubrus registered only 26 points in 82 games last season and has just two in nine games in 2014-15, making it difficult to extract value from him outside of the deepest of leagues.

Zubrus was credited with the game-winning goal in Thursday's 6-4 victory over the Flyers. After Vincent Lecavalier tied things up at 4-4 with 15 minutes to play in the third period, Zubrus answered with the go-ahead score less than three minutes later. He finished the night with a plus-2 rating, two shots on goal and two blocked shots on the evening, but don't expect the offense to show up with much consistency. Though technically a top-six forward for the Devils, Zubrus is valued more for his versatility to help out at both even strength and on the penalty kill, which doesn't translate to much fantasy utility.

Dainius Zubrus had three goals this week as he broke out of a long slump. Zubrus had only two goals and two assists in his previous 38 games heading into action on Monday and now has 13 goals this season to go with 13 helpers. He is now seeing second line action with Damien Brunner and Michael Ryder on his wings.

Dainius Zubrus scored his 11th goal of the season during a 3-2 shootout loss to Buffalo. Zubrus notched a point for the first time in 13 games, as the 35 year old now has 24 points through 76 games. Zubrus played 19 games in Buffalo during the 2006-07 season, where he scored eight points in the short stint.

Dainius Zubrus returned to action on Monday February 3.
