Marshall caught three passes for 34 yards in Friday's 21-20 preseason loss to the Vikings.
EDGE Analysis
Marshall was working against two-time Pro Bowler Xaiver Rhodes, and he impressed, leaping up and snagging a 20-yard pass from QB Russell Wilson. Winning jump balls is exactly what Wilson needs out of Marshall in order to replace TE Jimmy Graham, his favorite red-zone target in 2017. There were question marks about whether the Seahawks would retain a 34-year-old wideout coming off season-ending surgery, but Marshall may have put those doubts to bed.

Marshall (hamstring) worked with the starting offense at Monday's practice, Brady Henderson of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Working his way back into shape after suffering a slew of injuries the past 10 months, Marshall was held out of the preseason opener but finally seems to be practicing without limitations. While the idea of a regular spot with the first-team offense isn't totally out of the question, he's far from a lock to crack the 53-man roster. Tyler Lockett and Jaron Brown remain the favorites for playing time behind Doug Baldwin (knee), whose continued absence has freed up first-team reps for the likes of Marshall, Marcus Johnson and David Moore. The next big step for Marshall would be an appearance in Saturday's preseason game against the Chargers.

Marshall (hamstring) participated in portions of Friday's full-pads practice, Gregg Bell of The Tacoma News Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Marshall has been unable to avoid the injury bug for the better part of the last year, tending to a sore shoulder, toe injury and left ankle sprain between August and October of 2017. The latter issue required season-ending surgery, and his previous squad (the Giants) eventually opted to move on from the veteran wide receiver just before the 2018 draft. He inked a deal with the Seahawks within weeks, but his activity in training camp has been limited by a hamstring concern. During Friday's session, Marshall didn't exactly run crisp routes, so the hammy may still be a hindrance as August dawns.

Marshall (hamstring) hasn't been participating in 11-on-11 work at training camp, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Marshall had season-ending ankle surgery in October and toe surgery at some point thereafter, but his absence from practice since signing with the Seahawks in late May has actually been attributed to a hamstring injury. With only $90,000 in guaranteed money on his one-year contract, the 34-year-old wide receiver needs to get on the practice field soon to have a decent shot at making the 53-man roster. Jaron Brown has emerged as the favorite to join Doug Baldwin (leg) and Tyler Lockett in three-wide formations.

Marshall (ankle, hamstring) likely will be cleared for the start of training camp, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Marshall hasn't participated in team drills since signing with the Seahawks on May 29, with his absence caused by a minor hamstring injury rather than any issue with the ankle that ended his 2017 campaign. Given that he's 34 years old and spent the offseason rehabbing from surgeries on his ankle and toe, Marshall could be susceptible to additional lower-body injuries and doesn't figure to look much like the player who caught 109 passes for 1,502 yards and 14 touchdowns for the Jets in 2015. He's no lock to earn a roster spot in Seattle, where Tyler Lockett, Jaron Brown, Marcus Johnson and Amara Darboh are also competing for snaps and targets behind entrenched top option Doug Baldwin. The Seahawks brought Marshall in on a one-year, $1.105 million contract that includes only $90,000 guaranteed and another $1.105 million available through incentives, per OverTheCap.

Marshall (ankle) indicated that he's been running pain-free on his surgically-repaired ankle for weeks, Brady Henderson of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Not only is Marshall on the mend from ankle surgery, but the receiver recently revealed that he's also recovering from toe surgery to address an injury he claims has been bothering him since 2015. Marshall was originally going to wait until he retired to fix this latter concern, but it made sense to take care of it this offseason since he was already facing a lengthy recovery time from the ankle injury. With both of these issues now mostly behind him, Marshall can direct his full attention to carving out a role in the Seahawks offense after signing with Seattle on Tuesday.

Marshall (ankle) will sign a one-year deal with the Seahawks, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Marshall appeared in just five games as a member of the Giants last season, notching 18 grabs for 154 yards before an ankle injury ended it. He will provide the Seahawks with a big-bodied presence on the outside that should free up Doug Baldwin more in the slot. Marshall is just a couple of seasons removed from a 2016 campaign during which he totaled 109 catches for 1,502 yards and 14 touchdowns, but the 34-year-old wideout will need to stay healthy to drum up big numbers again in 2018.

Marshall is headed for a visit with the Seahawks, Jordan Raanan of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Marshall spent the 2017 campaign with the Giants, but struggled to stay healthy and saw action in just five games after undergoing season-ending ankle surgery. He ended the year with just 18 receptions for 154 yards, marking his lowest output since entering the NFL in 2008. The 10-year veteran failed his physical with the Giants earlier this offseason, which ultimately led to his release, so he'd still have to check out medically with Seattle if an agreement were to be reached. The Seahawks lost both Paul Richardson and Jimmy Graham in free agency, so Marshall would provide some experienced depth that could absorb some targets if needed.

The Giants released Marshall (ankle) on Thursday due to a failed physical, Ryan Dunleavy of NJ.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
During his brief tenure with the Giants, Marshall gathered in 18 of 33 passes for 154 yards and no touchdowns before spraining his left ankle Week 5. The injury was one of many to beset the receiving corps -- also, Odell Beckham and Sterling Shepard -- but Marshall required season-ending surgery to get on the path to full health. Because he was closing in on running without restrictions in late December and participated in Eli Manning's annual passing camp at Duke University in early April, Marshall's release seems to fly in the face that his recovery was complete. In the end, the Giants likely saw this transaction as the easiest way to free up the cap space required for the recently-jettisoned Dez Bryant. Marshall still has a place in the league, as evidenced by 7.2 YPT and 25 TDs in 49 games over the last four seasons with the Bears, Jets and Giants. Consequently, he should garner interest on the open market, assuming he can pass a physical.

Marshall (ankle) is attending Eli Manning's annual passing camp at Duke University, Ralph Vacchiano of SportsNet New York reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bouncing back from October ankle surgery, Marshall was scheduled to begin running in January and made it clear he had no intention of retiring. The extent of his participation in Manning's passing camp is unknown, but he least was healthy enough to play in a friendly basketball game with his teammates at Cameron Indoor Stadium. The 34-year-old wideout probably will need to accept a pay cut if he wants to stay in New York, as the Giants can free up nearly $5.2 million in cap space by releasing him. Marshall signed a two-year, $11 million contract last offseason and caught only 18 of 33 targets for 154 yards before suffering the season-ending ankle injury Week 5.
