Brent Burns
D COL
Burns scored a goal and added an assist in Wednesday's 8-6 loss to the Canucks.
EDGE Analysis
Burns crossed the 30-point mark for the year with this performance, which snapped a seven-game slump on offense. The 41-year-old blueliner is up to 11 goals, 31 points, 156 shots on net, 83 blocked shots and a plus-30 rating over 74 appearances. The stalwart blueliner had just 29 points over 82 regular-season appearances in 2024-25 with the Hurricanes, so his move to the Avalanche this season has paid off with a slight uptick in production.
Sam Malinski D COL Thu 4/2/26 3:00 AM
Sam Malinski
D COL
Malinski scored twice and added an assist in Wednesday's 8-6 loss to the Canucks.
EDGE Analysis
Malinski had two of the four goals as the Avalanche rallied from a 6-2 deficit, with his second tally tying the game. That lasted for just 23 seconds before Marcus Pettersson restored a lead for the Canucks. Still, it was a big performance for Malinski, who looks set to benefit in the absence of Cale Makar (upper body), though that will likely be a short-term scenario. For the season, Malinski has seven goals, 37 points, 142 shots on net, 83 blocked shots and a plus-42 rating over 74 appearances. Malinski is worth a look as a streaming and DFS option as long as Makar remains out.
Mackenzie Blackwood G COL Thu 4/2/26 2:54 AM
Mackenzie Blackwood
G COL
Blackwood stopped 13 of 19 shots in Wednesday's 8-6 loss to the Canucks.
EDGE Analysis
While it looked like a good matchup in theory, Blackwood's dreadful performance likely burned a lot of fantasy managers at a bad time of year. The silver lining was that he didn't end up with the loss, as the Avalanche were able to cover his damage. He's gone just 4-3-0 with 30 goals allowed on 194 shots over his last 10 outings, though Blackwood is still seeing the edge for playing time over Scott Wedgewood, who allowed one goal on six shots in relief. Blackwood remains at 21-9-1 with a 2.57 GAA and an .899 save percentage over 34 appearances this season. He'll likely start one of the next two games as the Avalanche visit the Stars on Saturday before hosting the Blues on Sunday.

Drew O'Connor
W VAN
O'Connor notched two assists, three shots on goal, two hits and a plus-2 rating in Wednesday's 8-6 win over the Avalanche.
EDGE Analysis
O'Connor earned his first multi-point effort since Dec. 30 versus the Flyers. He had five points over 14 outings in March, providing a bit of depth scoring from a middle-six role. For the season, the 27-year-old forward has 17 goals, 12 helpers, 124 shots on net, 71 hits, 38 PIM and 25 blocked shots over 74 appearances. He is likely to earn his second 30-point campaign and could challenge his career high of 33 points from the 2023-24 campaign with the Penguins.
Marco Rossi C VAN Thu 4/2/26 2:49 AM
Marco Rossi
C VAN
Rossi logged two assists, including one on the power play, and two hits in Wednesday's 8-6 win over the Avalanche.
EDGE Analysis
Rossi ended a four-game slump with the performance. The 24-year-old center helped out on a Jake DeBrusk tally in the first period and also contributed on the first of Brock Boeser's three goals in the game. Rossi is up to 30 points (nine goals, 21 assists), 54 shots on net, 40 hits and a minus-18 rating over 52 appearances between the Canucks and the Wild this season. He's looked pretty good with four multi-point efforts over his last 10 contests, though playing for Vancouver this year leads to some inherent inconsistency for just about any skater.
Jake DeBrusk W VAN Thu 4/2/26 2:46 AM
Jake DeBrusk
W VAN
DeBrusk scored a power-play goal on three shots and added two PIM in Wednesday's 8-6 win over the Avalanche.
EDGE Analysis
DeBrusk has three goals and one assist over his last five games. All of his tallies in that span have come on the power play, and the general improved play earned him a move up to the top line at even strength for this contest. DeBrusk has 17 goals, 36 points (19 on the power play), 189 shots on net, 60 hits, 31 blocked shots and a minus-29 rating over 73 appearances in what has been a mixed campaign for the veteran winger.
Max Sasson F VAN Thu 4/2/26 2:44 AM
Max Sasson
F VAN
Sasson scored a goal on two shots and added an assist in Wednesday's 8-6 win over the Avalanche.
EDGE Analysis
Sasson opened the scoring just 29 seconds into the game, setting the tone for what ended up being one of the most surprising contests of the season. He also set up a Teddy Blueger tally in the second period. Sasson had been scratched for the previous two contests, slipping into a part-time role due to his seven-game slump. He's now at 12 goals, 17 points, 58 shots on net, 35 blocked shots, 27 hits, 22 PIM and a minus-12 rating over 61 appearances this season.
Marcus Pettersson D VAN Thu 4/2/26 2:42 AM
Marcus Pettersson
D VAN
Pettersson scored a goal, dished two assists, went plus-4, doled out three hits and blocked three shots in Wednesday's 8-6 win over the Avalanche.
EDGE Analysis
Pettersson ended his 11-game point drought in a big way. The defenseman helped out on a Teddy Blueger tally in the second period, then scored the game-winner at 14:21 of the third before setting up Brock Boeser's empty-netter. Pettersson has provided limited upside on offense with 17 points over 74 appearances this season. He's added 61 shots on net, 60 PIM, 71 hits, 124 blocks and a minus-9 rating in a top-four role on a bad team.
Teddy Blueger C VAN Thu 4/2/26 2:40 AM
Teddy Blueger
C VAN
Blueger scored two goals in Wednesday's 8-6 win over the Avalanche.
EDGE Analysis
Blueger had gone minus-10 while failing to record a point over the previous 10 contests. The 31-year-old has maintained his place in the Canucks' lineup as a defensive center, but his lack of offense makes him a relative non-factor in fantasy. For the season, Blueger has eight goals, 13 points, 42 shots on net, 48 hits and a minus-9 rating across 27 appearances.
Brock Boeser W VAN Thu 4/2/26 2:38 AM
Brock Boeser
W VAN
Boeser scored three goals on four shots, added an assist and went plus-2 in Wednesday's 8-6 win over the Avalanche.
EDGE Analysis
Boeser scored twice in the second period to stretch the Canucks' lead to 6-2. When that wasn't enough, he added two points in the third frame, setting up Marcus Pettersson's go-ahead goal before scoring the empty-netter himself to secure the win. Boeser has nine goals and eight assists over 15 outings since the start of March. His effort Wednesday propelled to 21 goals, 43 points, 151 shots on net, 48 hits and a minus-37 rating over 67 appearances. While he's struggled for much of the year, he's worth having in fantasy now as he looks to continue his strong finish to the campaign.
