Parise (upper body) will not join the Wild for their three-game road trip beginning Thursday, Chad Graff of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
After the forward was unable to return to practice Wednesday, the team determined that Parise wouldn't be fit to play over the next couple of days, suggesting the injury is more than a minor concern. The Wild haven't clarified the extent of Parise's injury or issued a return timetable, so there's no guarantee he'll be ready to play when the team kicks off its homestand on Nov. 13.

Parise (upper body) didn't practice with the team Tuesday, Chad Graff of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
Parise's injury originated in Tuesday's game, where he missed all of the third period as a result. His status appears to be in doubt for Friday's game against the Senators, but more information about his availability and injury should become clear leading up it.

Parise bagged a pair of assists in Saturday's win over Dallas.
Parise is up to 10 points (four goals) in 10 games this season, to go with a plus-6 rating. Skating on the top line and top power-play unit, expect a 60-70 point season from the 30-year-old winger.

Parise scored a goal and had two assists in Thursday's win over Colorado.
The Wild had a 6-0 blowout win over Colorado so don't expect this outing every night, but Parise could improve his numbers with the increase in talent on the Wild's top three lines.

The Wild held Parise out of Practice Sunday after he got banged up in Saturday's game. He says it's just a maintenance day and that he'll be playing again Monday, according to Michael Russo of the Star Tribune.
The team's actions echo that, as Mike Yeo has Parise penciled into the top line for Monday's home game against Pittsburgh.

Zach Parise is happy that coach Mike Yeo received a three-year contract extension.
The Wild went 43-27-12 in the regular season, getting to the playoffs as a wild-card team. They ended up losing to the Blackhawks in the second round. "Very well-deserved," said Parise. "I think he did a really good job - [the entire coaching staff] all did a really good job - down the stretch for us, especially in the playoffs. I mean, we were really prepared. We knew exactly what to expect. We exploited weaknesses. It's a big chess game, the playoffs. I think they did a really good job making adjustments on the fly. It was real impressive."

The Wild got their money's worth from captain Zach Parise in these playoffs, as their prized free agent signing from 2012 played to his potential during Minnesota's playoff run.
Parise notched 14 points in the Wild's 13 game post-season, which ended after Patrick Kane buried Minnesota in overtime on Tuesday night. Parise and fellow free agent signing Ryan Suter brought the Wild to the first round of the playoffs last season after a four year absence from the post-season, then improved this season by knocking off the Colorado Avalanche in the first round, then playing a solid series versus the defending champion Blackhawks.
