Parise's eye was really swollen after Tuesday's loss against the Capitals, Michael Russo of the Minneapolis Star-Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Head coach Bruce Boudreau mentioned that Parise's injury is more of the upper-body variety than just specifically to the eye, although it's uncertain what that means exactly. Reading the tea leaves, perhaps the coach is hinting Parise has a concussion, which would obviously keep him out a bit longer than a simple laceration.

Parise was forced from Tuesday's game against the Capitals due to an eye injury, Michael Russo of the Minneapolis Star-Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Parise was clipped by a high stick from Tom Wilson of the Capitals which resulted in a double-minor penalty. On a positive, the Caps cashed in with an Alexander Ovechkin power-play goal. Parise remained in the building, according to Russo, who viewed that as a good sign. We'll update when more information is available.

Parise picked up assists on the power play and at even strength in Tuesday's 3-2 win over the Sharks.
EDGE Analysis
Parise failed to register a shot on goal after taking eight over the previous two contests, but that didn't stop him from pushing his point streak to three games. It's concerning that the 32-year-old veteran has just one goal in his past nine games after scoring 15 in his first 51, and even more so that he's only generating 1.9 shots on goal per appearance over this poor stretch after mustering 3.1 up to Mar. 5.

Parise scored a goal and added an assist during Friday's win over Florida.
EDGE Analysis
Parise has been limited to just 54 games and posted only 16 goals and 31 points. It's certainly respectable production, but he's also been leapfrogged on the depth chart by some younger forwards on the team. Parise shouldn't be considered a go-to fantasy asset at this stage of his career, and it's likely best to leave him to deeper settings.

As expected, Parise (illness) will rejoin the lineup Sunday against the Sharks, Michael Russo of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Parise will look to finish the season strong after a bit of a disappointing season for fantasy owners. He's played just 50 of the Wild's 62 games this season and has notched just 28 points over that span. Minnesota still owns a potent offense, providing Parise with the tools to up his point rate the rest of the way.

Parise (illness) reported that he "fully intends" to play Sunday against the Sharks, Michael Russo reports.
EDGE Analysis
This is a good sign for Parise, who missed three consecutive games due to mumps. The 32-year-old forward matches up well against the Sharks -- in his only meeting with them this year he scored a goal and added two assists. A full confirmation on whether or not Parise will be back should be available Sunday.

Parise (illness) won't play Thursday against the Blue Jackets, Michael Russo of the Star Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Parise will miss a third consecutive game Thursday due to mumps, and a definite timetable for his return to Minnesota's lineup has yet to be established. The Wild really don't have any reason to rush Parise back, as they've been scorching-hot offensively without him in the lineup, racking up a total of 11 goals over their past two games. More information regarding Parise's availability for Sunday's game against the Sharks should be released in the coming days.

Parise has been diagnosed with the mumps and is not in the lineup Monday against the Kings.
EDGE Analysis
Teammate Jason Pominville is also sitting out Monday with the condition, as the Wild have become the second team in the league to be stricken with the illness after Vancouver was hit last week. Given the nature of the illness, it's probable more members of the team will be diagnosed, as well, while Parise and Pominville will be placed in quarantine for five days.

Parise scored a pair of goals in a 6-3 victory over the Red Wings on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
The 32-year-old has put together some quality offensive games lately, averaging five shots in the last three games, but he had only scored once. He broke through twice on four shots Sunday. Parise isn't the same player he once was, - 13 goals and 27 points in 46 games - but he leads all Wild forwards with 144 shots.

Parise scored a goal and had five shots on goal in Tuesday's win over the Oilers.
EDGE Analysis
Parise ended a ten game streak without a goal. He has four points and just 28 shots on goal over his last 11 games. Hopefully Tuesday's performance will help him get back on track.
