Parise (back) had an assist while playing 15 and half minutes Thursday for AHL Iowa. He will return to Minnesota for practice with the NHL Wild and is aiming to make his NHL season debut on Jan. 2 or Jan. 4, TheAthletic.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
It was his first game since undergoing back surgery Oct. 24. He could make another appearance for AHL Iowa before he returns to the NHL, but it's not clear if he'll be allowed to do so under the NHL rules for rehab assignments since he won't stay in Iowa, according to the Athletic report.

Parise (back) will be sent down to AHL Iowa for a conditioning assignment.
EDGE Analysis
Parise -- who told reporters he has been cleared for contact -- will suit up for AHL Iowa on Thursday, before returning to Minnesota. While the news is certainly a step in the right direction, coach Bruce Boudreau clarified that the team is not expecting the winger back until after the New Year, according to Anthony LaPanta of Fox Sports North, which effectively rules Parise out for the next three games -- at minimum.

Parise (back) has been skating with the Wild for the past week, but there is not yet a timetable for his return. "You could see out there he's getting more involved in everything," head coach Bruce Boudreau told the St. Paul Pioneer Press. "We want to make sure - this has been such a long, lingering injury, not only for this year, for previous years - that when he plays, he's fully ready."
EDGE Analysis
Parise has been skating for the past month but hasn't progressed to a full practice since undergoing Oct. 24 surgery. It sounds like he could return in January, but his timetable is still unclear.

Parise (back) will join the Wild for their upcoming four-game road trip, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Despite traveling with the team, Parise is not expected to be back in action next week and more likely is just taking advantage of being able to join his teammates on the ice -- rather than staying back in Minnesota for solo skates. Based on his original timeline, the winger appears to be on track for a return after the holidays and the calendar switch to 2018.

Parise (back) finally returned to the ice Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
This reportedly was the first time Parise had stepped foot on practice ice since undergoing Oct. 24 surgery. Minnesota has had its share of struggles without the veteran playmaker, as it ranks second to last within the Central Division, having posted a mere 24 points through 22 games. Once Parise starts taking contact and practicing in consecutive days, hopefully we'll then have a concrete timetable for his return.

Parise was placed on long-term injured reserve Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Parise was already expected to be out up to two months after having back surgery in late October. The Wild just took Charlie Coyle off LTIR, and now Parise has moved into that spot.

Parise will undergo back surgery that is expected to sideline him up to two months, TheAthletic.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Parise had surgery for a herniated disk during the 2015-16 season and missed the playoffs. He had soreness in his leg during the summer and was working his way back to action before a setback Monday that will now force him to undergo surgery.

Parise (back) is reportedly considering undergoing surgery, per Michael Russo of TheAthletic.com.
EDGE Analysis
Parise appeared to be nearing a return to action, but suffered a setback in his recovery which apparently has put surgery on the table. The winger has yet to make his 2017-18 season debut and it seems unlikely he will be back soon given this news.

Parise (back) will not play in either game of the Wild's upcoming back-to-back against Winnipeg and Calgary, Anthony LaPanta of Fox Sports North reports.
EDGE Analysis
Parise was trending toward a return, but suffered a setback in his recovery and will now have to wait even longer to make his 2017-18 debut. Depending on the severity of the winger's relapse, the team may decide to designate him for injured reserve, rather than carrying just 22 healthy players on the roster.

Parise (back) skated in Monday's practice, but was forced to leave early after suffering a setback, Michael Russo of TheAthletic.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Parise has yet to play in 2017-18, though he appeared to be on track to make his season debut Friday in Winnipeg entering Monday's skate. There wasn't any information available as to how severe or insignificant the setback may be, but Parise will be evaluated further and the team may have a further update as soon as Tuesday.
