Rask picked up two assists and went plus-2 in Tuesday's loss to Detroit. Well, you certainly can't pin this loss on the line of Rask, Nathan Gerbe and Chris Terry, as they produced all the Carolina offense and were on the bench for Detroit's goals. The strong effort snapped a five-game scoreless skid for Rask, who's had an inconsistent rookie year, but has certainly shown terrific potential.

Rask scored the team's lone goal in Sunday's 3-1 loss to the Blackhawks. Rask has had a strong showing in March, collecting nine points in his last nine contests. The 22-year-old is just a point away from reaching the 30-point plateau in his rookie campaign, and while he holds some value in dynasty leagues, his production hasn't been consistent enough this year to merit consideration in the majority of single-season formats.

Rask scored a goal, handed out two assists and went plus-3 in Thursday's 5-3 loss to the Stars. All the Canes' offense in this one went through the 22-year-old center, who's ripped off six points over a three-game point streak. Considering that he also went plus-3 while nearly the entire rest of his team finished in the minus, this may have been the most impressive game of the Swede's young career so far.

Rask dished out a pair of assists in Sunday's 7-4 win over the Oilers. Rask is riding a ten game goalless streak, but he's still found a way to contribute in that span as he's picked up four assists in his last five games. The 22-year-old will eventually add more consistent production with regular ice time, but with just 22 points this season he doesn't hold much value in standard fantasy formats.

Rask recorded a power-play assist and skated a season-high 21:27 during Saturday's 5-3 win over the Islanders. Since sitting out two games as a healthy scratch, Rask has seen an uptick in his ice time, averaging 17:29 over the past five games, including roughly three minutes on the power play. Rask and his linemates Nathan Gerbe and Andrej Nestrasil were effectively the Canes' second line against the Islanders, bumping Jeff Skinner, Riley Nash and Elias Lindholm down to third-line status. Assuming this trend continues, it represents an opportunity for Rask to play a larger role in the Canes' lineup, so fantasy owners should be prepared to take advantage accordingly.

Rask will play Friday against the Maple Leafs. After spending the previous two games in the press box as a healthy scratch, Rask is expected to center the Hurricanes' third line in his return to action.

Rask has been a healthy scratch for the Hurricanes' last two games. After opening February with a point in his first three games, Nash was held off the score sheet in his next two games, during which he went a collective minus-4. With Andrej Nestrasil and Jay McClement proving deserving of additional ice time, coach Bill Peters elected to send Rask to the press box, but it shouldn't become a permanent arrangement for the 21-year-old. Whether it's with the parent club or at AHL Charlotte, Rask needs to play on a regular basis, and the Hurricanes can't afford to let him sit for much longer.

Rask failed to register a point for the third consecutive game Saturday against the Rangers. He also posted a minus-3 rating and had just a single shot on goal. With just 15 points in 49 games so far in his rookie season, Rask is quite clearly still finding his game at the NHL level. He will be a solid top-six forward someday, but for now is still too inconsistent to be counted on in most fantasy formats.

Rask delivered a goal and an assist Saturday in a loss to the Blues. He now has at least a point in three straight games and four points (two goals, two assists) in that span. Here's yet another flash of his future fantasy value, but like just about every other rookie, Rask's game is more about inconsistency than anything else. And that makes him a tough fantasy roll.

Rask assisted on Justin Faulk's power-play goal in the third period of Tuesday's 3-2 loss to Nashville. It was just his 10th point of the season and first in 16 games. So far in his rookie season, the 21-year-old Rask has shown flashes of being the top-six player the Canes hope he will eventually become. However, overall he has not been consistent enough to warrant any real fantasy consideration outside of very deep leagues. For now, he continues to center the Canes' second line in between Nathan Gerbe and Jiri Tlusty. Roll him if you must, but Rask is still learning the ropes on a very weak team, and that rarely adds up to the kinds of qualities you look for in a fantasy player.
