Johnson tallied a power-play assist in Saturday's loss to the Panthers. He has four points, including three assists, in his last six games.
EDGE Analysis
Johnson still doesn't seem 100 percent, but at least he's starting to show signs of offensive life. He's nowhere near the value of his draft position, but he should improve his output over the second half.

Johnson has just a single assist in six games since his return from injury. He has just 10 shots in that span.
EDGE Analysis
It's not really a surprise -- it will take time for Johnson to get back in sync with his linemates and the overall pace of the game. But the shots are a bit worrisome. He has been held without a shot twice in those six, including in two of this last three. Johnson's coming off an "undisclosed" injury which was more than likely a recurrence of an upper-body suffered earlier in the season. Continue to keep him on the pine until he starts to fire a lot more shots and with more whip. We hope Johnson isn't playing through an injury that can be managed, but will end up being surgical at season's end. We have no evidence of such, but that concern is swirling in the back of our heads.

Johnson returned from injury Monday against Montreal. He skated 17:43 (23 shifts) and fired two shots on net.
EDGE Analysis
Johnson hadn't played in almost three weeks, so it'll take a couple games for him to get his timing back. Let's hope he's still feeling fine Tuesday -- Johnson played just one game in late November after returning from an upper-body injury and hit the sidelines right after that. Then he returned for two games in early December before heading to the trainer's bench again. Tough season for the little spark plug.

Johnson (undisclosed) is considered questionable for Monday's contest against the Canadiens, Eric Ernlendsson of The Tampa Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Johnson is expected to return at some point this week, and his questionable designation for Monday's contest certainly backs that up. He wore a regular jersey during morning skate, which is certainly an encouraging sign, but the team should further update his status as the game draws closer.

Johnson (undisclosed) practiced in a regular jersey Sunday, and is expected back before the end of the week, Erik Erlendsson of The Tampa Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Johnson hasn't officially been ruled out for Monday, and his presence at practice in a regular uniform Sunday certainly seems to give him a chance. Another update on his status should come at some point before the contest, providing a clearer picture on his availability.

Johnson (undisclosed) did not suit up for Saturday's game against the Blue Jackets, Erik Erlendsson of The Tampa Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Johnson had a chance to return to action prior to the holiday break, but he did not do so, and did not Saturday either. He will have a chance to suit up for the Lightning's next game Monday.

Johnson (undisclosed) will not play in Tuesday's game against the Canucks, Erik Erlendsson of The Tampa Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
It was initially believed that Johnson had a chance to return for Tuesday's game, but that appears to be out the window at this point. However, the 25-year-old forward took part in an optional practice, donning a regular uniform, so a return Saturday against the Canucks seems like a definite possibility.

Johnson (undisclosed) could rejoin the lineup before the league's Christmas break, Erik Erlendsson of The Tampa Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Johnson has been out each of the team's past three games, but it sounds as though he's closer to a return than teammate Ondrej Palat, and could rejoin the lineup at some point prior to the break next week. With the forward ruled out Friday, his next chance to play comes Sunday against the Senators.

Johnson (undisclosed) is considered doubtful to play on the Lightning's upcoming road trip, Erik Erlendsson of The Tampa Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Johnson has been moved to injured reserve, but that doesn't necessarily rule him out for the entirety of the road trip. His first game eligible to return would come Friday, but it appears even that is highly unlikely at this point. Expect more on his status for the contest as the game gets closer.
