Per the Tampa Bay Times, Johnson was hit in the face with the puck during pregame warmups Friday -- ahead of Game 4 against the Penguins -- but still played and ultimately tallied the game-winning goal in the second period.
EDGE Analysis
Johnson ended up with a clear shield to protect his mug after reportedly trying out a number of different protective masks throughout the game. He skated for 15:33, which was enough time to tally his second goal in as many games. The score proved to be especially clutch, as the Penguins potted three unanswered goals in the third stanza and nearly sent the game into overtime. Considering that Johnson was able to play through the injury, we wouldn't worry about him come Sunday when the Lightning face the Pens on the road for Game 5.

Johnson scored his fifth goal of the postseason in Wednesday's 4-2 loss to the Penguins.
EDGE Analysis
Johnson has racked up plenty of helpers, but this was his first tally in six games. The diminutive center has made up for a lackluster regular season with 14 points in 13 playoff games, and the Lightning will need him to continue getting on the scoreboard at a high rate if they hope to come back against the streaking Penguins.

Johnson tallied an assist in Sunday's Game 5 win over the Islanders.
EDGE Analysis
The helper came on the man advantage, good for Johnson's fourth power-play assist of the playoffs. The center had a terrific series, notching at least one point in four straight (two goals, four assists) for 13 points on the postseason. He still has some work to do if he wants to match last year's excellent playoff campaign in which he tallied 13 goals and 10 assists, but Johnson figures to be one of the more reliable sources of scoring remaining as the Lightning continue to advance.

Johnson had two goals and an assist in Saturday's 4-1 win over Florida. It was his second multi-goal game this postseason and the sixth of his career.
EDGE Analysis
Remember his antics last year? Johnson had an NHL-leading 13 goals in last year's playoffs. And he's now tied with Brad Richards for third place on the team's career postseason list with 18. Johnson has 10 points (four goals, six assists) in seven playoff contests this season and should be in line for plenty more. Bolts' coach Jon Cooper reunited the Triplets Line to start this contest and they responded with a goal -- Johnson's first -- at the 6:03 mark.

Johnson went wild in Game 2 on Friday, potting two goals and adding two helpers as Tampa beat Detroit 5-2.
EDGE Analysis
That's six points in the first two games of the postseason for Johnson, who sniped two goals in less than nine minutes in the third period. The diminutive forward has also skated to a plus-6 in the series thus far. Once Game 3 rolls around Sunday in Detroit, look for his line with Nikita Kucherov and Alex Killorn to be fired up once again as the Bolts look to take a stranglehold on the series.

Johnson (upper body) took part in line rushes during pregame warmups, indicating he'll be in the lineup for Wednesday's Game 1 against the Red Wings, Joe Smith of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Johnson will slot into a top-six role Wednesday against Detroit, centering Alex Killorn and Nikita Kucherov on Tampa Bay's first line. The 27-year-old forward will also see time on the man advantage, centering Killorn and Brian Boyle on the Lightning's second power-play unit. Johnson will look to get back on track offensively Wednesday, as he was ice cold down the stretch, tallying a single assist over the final seven games of the regular season.

Johnson (upper body) described himself as feeling good after Wednesday's morning skate but is still a game-time decision for the evening's Game 1 tilt versus the Red Wings, Joe Smith of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Johnson has now skated two straight days, which is certainly a good sign heading into te evening's contest. The Lightning need every body they can get offensively, playing without Steven Stamkos (upper body) for presumably the entire postseason. The team should confirm his status prior to puck drop, but the most recent news seems to indicate he will dress for Game 1.

Johnson (upper body) practiced Tuesday, but stopped short of saying he'll be ready to play in Wednesday's playoff opening game against Detroit, reports the Tampa Bay Times. "I'm still trying to decide," said Johnson, "so I'll talk with the coaching staff, see how I feel (Wednesday)."
EDGE Analysis
Johnson went hard into the end boards on a questionable hit by the Habs' Greg Pateryn on Saturday night; it was the kind of hit that screamed separated shoulder, but there has been no public declaration of such. He'll be a game-time decision.

Johnson (upper body) practiced Tuesday, Joe Smith of The Tampa Bay Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Johnson hit practice ice for the first time since April 9. Although practicing is always a step in a positive direction, it is still uncertain as to whether Johnson will be ready for Game 1 against the Red Wings on Wednesday. Fantasy owners in playoff pools should take his uncertain playing status into consideration.

Johnson (upper body) was not on the ice for practice Monday, Bryan Burns of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Johnson's absence Monday certainly doesn't bode well for his chances of rejoining the lineup Wednesday against the Red Wings, but there is still a little time for him to get back out there. The team essentially listed his status as questionable for Wednesday, so those considering him in playoff pools should account for the possibility of him missing a game or two because of the injury.
