Jarry was recalled from AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Jarry's call-up certainly puts into question Matt Murray's (lower body) availability for Sunday's matchup with Tampa Bay. The 21-year-old Jarry was previously serving as the backup, but with Pens having been on their bye week, they didn't need to carry a third netminder. The British Columbia native is still looking to make his NHL debut, which could come during Pittsburgh's upcoming back-to-back Jan. 11 and 12 if Murray remains sidelined.

Jarry was sent back to AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Jarry has served in a backup role Saturday against the Canadiens, but will return to the team's AHL affiliate during the week break to get some reps in the cage. Unless Murray (lower body) recovers quicker than anticipated, Jarry will likely be recalled again prior to next Sunday's contest versus the Lightning.

Jarry was recalled from AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
With Matt Murray (lower body) classified as week-to-week, Jarry will presumably be the backup goalie to Marc-Andre Fleury while the Pens' regular starter remains out. The 21-year-old goaltender has put up solid numbers in the minors this season -- he has a .921 save percentage and 2.15 GAA to go with a 13-5-0 record. Depending on the way the schedule works out and how long it takes for Murray to come back, Jarry could be in line for his first career NHL start in the near future -- probably one of the back-to-backs the Penguins will play Jan. 11 and 12.

Jarry has been reassigned Tuesday to AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, Josh Yohe of DK on Pittsburgh Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jarry seemed to come out of the preseason firmly locked into the back-up role with Matt Murray (thumb) sidelined, but then the Pens picked up Mike Condon off the waiver wire. The silver-lining for the 21-year-old is that he will likely be the clear cut starter in the minors and will be able to further develop his game.

Jarry will likely start the season with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton following the team's addition of goalie Mike Condon on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
It was all but assumed that Jarry would serve as Marc-Andre Fleury's backup Opening Night, but the team apparently feels that Condon is the better option. Jarry will continue to develop in the AHL following a solid preseason with Pittsburgh.

Jarry recorded his second straight shutout Sunday, stopping 24 shots in a 2-0 shutout over Columbus, DK Pittsburgh Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Coach Mike Sullivan wasn't ready to commit to Jarry as the Pens' backup to start the season, but it seems clear he will -- barring a meltdown before Opening Night. "Well, we'll watch the whole camp before we make any sort of decisions," Sullivan said. "Certainly we're encouraged by Tristan's play. We know how good a goalie he is. As I said, I had him last year for a period of time, and he has the ability to be a real solid goalie with what you've seen the last couple of games."

Jarry made 35 saves in a 2-0 shutout over the Blackhawks on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
He's the leading candidate to back up starter Marc-Andre Fleury while Matt Murray (hand) recovers from injury. Given Murray's timeline, which could keep him out until early November, Jarry could get a start or two before returning to the Baby Penguins. The 21-year-old went 17-13-3 with a 2.69 GAA and .905 save percentage as a first-year pro in 2015-16.

Jarry was sent down to the minors Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Jarry's primary responsibility during this recent call-up was as a decoy for coach Mike Sullivan who has been playing mind games with the Rangers regarding his starting netminder. The 20-year-old split time with Matt Murray for the Baby Pens the majority of the season, but with Murray securing the backup job in Pittsburgh, Jarry will be the go to guy for the Calder Cup playoffs. In his 33 AHL contests, the rookie went 17-13-3 with a .905 save percentage.

EDGE Analysis
Jarry gives the Penguins some added postseason netminding depth to go along with Jeff Zatkoff, with the team's top goalie Marc-Andre Fleury bouncing back from a concussion and Matt Murray now dealing with an unspecified injury.
