Toni Lydman will be back in the Anaheim lineup Sunday against Boston.
He had missed the Ducks' last three games with an upper-body injury but practised Saturday with his teammates for a second day in a row and declared himself ready to return. If you need Lydman, fell free to activate him.

Toni Lydman sat out Sunday's game with an upper body injury.
The good news is that coach Bruce Boudreau expects the defenseman to be back in the lineup tonight. "You have no idea how many bumps and bruises he's got and he's been a warrior all year in playing through it," Boudreau said. "I thought if he played tonight (Sunday) he would be just that way tomorrow and he might not be able to play Wednesday against St. Louis." He is not having a good fantasy season as he does not have a goal but has 13 assists and 46 penalty minutes. He is minus-one after finishing second in the NHL last year at plus-32.

Toni Lydman (shoulder) will probably make his season debut on Friday.
"He will in all likelihood play tonight," Ducks coach Randy Carlyle said Friday morning. "I haven't talked to him since he got off the ice. I haven't been made aware there was any setbacks. We were going along the premise that he would be available to us if everything was fine this morning. That hasn't changed." Lydman is expected to be paired up with blueliner Lubomir Visnovsky.

Toni Lydman might be available to return from a shoulder injury as early as Friday night's home opener against San Jose.
He was recently cleared for contact after missing all of training camp and the start of the season following surgery in May to repair a torn labrum. "Things are moving along," said Lydman. "The mobility is getting better. Strength-wise, there's still a little work to do. It's getting real close. [The] strength and range of motion both ideally like them to be at 100 percent. I'm really close." We'll keep you posted.

It is becoming unlikely that Toni Lydman (shoulder surgery) will be to play in the Ducks opener in Europe on October 7.
The Ducks open the season in Finland, Lydman's native country, but he has yet to be cleared for contact and stated that he wouldn't hurry back to play, even with games in Finland. Lydman had surgery in May and is close to returning but that will not happen until the Ducks return from Europe.

Toni Lydman (shoulder surgery) won't play in any of the Ducks' remaining preseason games.
Lydman will travel with Anaheim to Europe for their season opener, but he probably won't play in that contest. He still needs to be cleared for contact, although Lydman has been taking part in team practices. "He's not far away," coach Randy Carlyle said. "There is still nothing like playing in game situations. You can practice all you want. There is going to be a certain amount of rust that we all know [will be there]. But we trust his hockey knowledge and conditioning level and his compete level, the type of player he is." We'll keep you posted.

Toni Lydman (shoulder surgery) will skate with the Ducks, but he won't participate in contact drills yet.
Lydman went under the knife in early May and he was initially expected to miss five months. That means he might not be ready for the Ducks' season opener, but he shouldn't miss too much playing time. We'll keep you posted.
