Tatar (illness) returned to practice ahead of Thursday's home game against the Jets, Eric Engels of Sportsnet.ca reports.
EDGE Analysis
Barring a setback in warmups, Tatar should be fit to play in the upcoming contest. The crafty scoring winger has fit in nicely with the Habs, as he's on pace for a career high in points with his current total consisting of 16 goals and 23 assists through 53 games.

Updating a previous report, Tatar is not in the lineup for Tuesday's clash with the Ducks.
EDGE Analysis
Tatar looked like he was going to play after taking part in pregame warmups, but his illness turned out to be too serious to give it a go. He'll hope to return to action Thursday against the Jets.

Tatar is taking part in warmup, suggesting he'll suit up Tuesday against the Ducks, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Tatar missed morning skate due to an illness, but the malady doesn't appear to be serious enough to keep him out of game action. Considering Tatar's playing at a point-per-game pace over his last six, owners will want to get him in there against a Ducks team that's dropped its last four games by the combined score of 23-5.

Tatar (illness) missed Tuesday's morning skate, Eric Engels of Sportsnet.ca reports.
EDGE Analysis
Tatar should probably be considered questionable at best for Tuesday evening's matchup with the Ducks at this point. If Tatar's unable to go, Michael Chaput will likely draw into the lineup against Anaheim.

Tatar notched a power-play assist in Wednesday's 2-1 win over Arizona.
EDGE Analysis
The All-Star break comes at perhaps an inopportune for Tatar, as the forward is riding a four-game point streak after assisting on Jonathan Drouin's power-play goal Wednesday night. The 28-year-old enters the break with 38 points in 51 games and is on pace to post career highs across the board in his first season with the Canadiens.

Tatar picked up a pair of helpers in Tuesday's 3-2 win over Detroit.
EDGE Analysis
After posting seven points over a four-game span between Dec.22 and Dec. 31, Tatar went three games without a point. He got back down to business versus Detroit, finishing with two assists, including one on Jeff Petry's game-winning goal. Tatar is now up to 33 points in 44 games and is on pace to post career-high numbers across the board. The offseason trade with Vegas gets better with each passing day, with the most prized piece of the deal -- Nick Suzuki -- yet to play a game for the Canadiens.

Tatar scored a pair of goals in a 5-3 victory against the Panthers on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran recorded a season-low in ice time against the Coyotes on Dec. 20, but since then, Tatar has posted a pair of two-point outings. On Friday, he opened the scoring with an unassisted goal and then broke the tie in the third period on the power play. Tatar is having a very strong season, as he's registered 14 goals and 28 points in 38 games. He could post career highs in both scoring categories, but at the very least, he's only six points behind last season's point total with still more than half a season to go.

Tatar picked up two assists Saturday night in the Canadiens' 4-3 overtime win over the Golden Knights.
EDGE Analysis
Tatar snapped a six-game scoring drought with the points. We guess that reduced ice time last game snapped him back into focus. Tatar is quietly on a career pace if he can stay focused. But he's not much of a special-teams producer, so his mid-50s point total will be a bit one-dimensional in some formats.

Tatar had two shots, one blocked shot, two hits and a minor penalty over 12:44 of ice time in Thursday's 2-1 win over the Coyotes.
EDGE Analysis
Tatar, who had been a top-six forward since training camp, was dropped to the third line with Jesperi Kotkaniemi and Andrew Shaw. This was not an indictment on Tatar's play, but rather coach Claude Julien shaking up the top three lines. Tatar's TOI on Thursday was a season low as a result of the shift. He also extended a pointless streak to six games, his longest such streak of the season.

Tatar scored a power-play goal and added an assist in Saturday's 5-2 win over the Rangers.
EDGE Analysis
Tatar presented himself with a nice birthday gift, putting the Rangers on ice with a third-period insurance goal, his team-high tying third marker on the power play. The 28-year-old forward has 13 points over his last 16 games. Aside from one four-game point drought, Tatar has not gone more than two games in between getting his name on the scoresheet. That desultory 20-game stint with Vegas last season is looking like a blip on this consistent forward's radar.
