Kuhnhackl (lower body) is healthy, but will not suit up for Game 5 on Thursday against Nashville, Wes Crosby of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Kuhnhackl missed the Pens' previous 12 outings with this ailment and will be hard pressed to crack his way back into the lineup at this point. The gritty winger logged 57 games this season in which he tallied four goals and 12 helpers, but is unlikely to put up enough offensive production to warrant a spot on the roster in all but the deepest of fantasy formats.

Kuhnhackl (lower body) will miss his 12th consecutive game Monday against the Predators, Robby Stanley of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Coach Mike Sullivan has already been forced to make tough decision this postseason -- such as benching Carl Hagelin and Conor Sheary -- and getting Kuhnhackl back would just add one more. Even once the 25-year-old German is cleared, it is unlikely that he would be able to crack the lineup, so fantasy owners probably shouldn't expect much during the Stanley Cup Finals.

Kuhnhackl (lower-body) is out for Saturday's Game 3 against the Predators.
EDGE Analysis
Kuhnhackl missed the entire Eastern Conference Finals, and he has yet to play in this series either. Even if he gets healthy before the playoffs are over, there's a good chance he won't get put back into the lineup at this point.

Kuhnhackl (lower body) will not be in the lineup against the Predators for Wednesday's Game 2 clash, Wes Crosby of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Kuhnhackl continues to work his way back from injury -- having last appeared on the ice in Game 6 of the Pens ' second-round matchup with Washington. As reported by Dave Molinari of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, the winger did take part in Wednesday's optional skate, which is a step in the right direction. Even once cleared, it seems unlike the 25-year-old will be able to crack the lineup given how impressed the coaching staff has been with Carter Rowney.

Kuhnhackl (lower body) worked out prior to the Penguins' optional skate Thursday, Jason Mackey of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
EDGE Analysis
While getting on the ice is a step in the right direction for Kuhnhackl, his inability to join his teammates effectively rules him out for Game 7 on Thursday. At this point, the winger may struggle to crack the lineup even once healthy given the emergence of Josh Archibald and Carter Rowney.

Kuhnhackl (lower body) continues to rehab back in Pittsburgh and will not be in the lineup against Ottawa on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Prior to getting hurt Kuhnhackl was averaging 11:36 of ice time in the postseason and had managed to snag a pair of helpers during the opening-round series versus Columbus. The 25-year-old was a mainstay in the Pens' lineup during their 2016 Stanley Cup Championship run, but could find himself watching from the press box once he is cleared to return given the emergence of Carter Rowney and Josh Archibald.

Kuhnhackl (lower body) will not dress for Game 5 on Sunday against the Senators, Tom Gulitti of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Kuhnhackl hasn't played in any of the Eastern Conference finals games thus far due to a lower-body issue that surfaced near the end of the series against the Capitals. He doesn't have a clear timetable to return, but he's not a huge factor given his two points through 11 playoff games this season.

Kuhnhackl (lower body) won't suit up for Friday's Game 4 against the Senators.
EDGE Analysis
Kuhnhackl has been a healthy scratch for Pittsburgh's last four contests, but he's now dealing with an injury that will keep him sidelined rather than a coach's decision. Bryan Rust (upper body) and Patric Hornqvist (upper body) will both also miss Game 4, so coach Mike Sullivan may opt to use seven defensemen Friday in an attempt to contain an Ottawa offense that racked up five goals in Game 3.

Kuhnhackl (lower body) did not practice with the team Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Although he's been a scratch for the past four matchups, this is noteworthy for a banged up Penguins' offensive unit. Kuhnhackl was likely to draw into the lineup with Bryan Rust and Patric Hornqvist also with day-to-day injuries. It is yet to be seen how serious this injury is, but we'll keep updating as information becomes available.

Kuhnhackl is likely to be scratched for the second straight game Saturday, when the Penguins host the Senators for Game 1 of the Eastern Conference finals, Dave Molinari of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
EDGE Analysis
Without Kuhnhackl, Carter Rowney held down the fort on the fourth line and right-wing spot in the series clincher over the Capitals on Wednesday, delivering three hits and two (empty) shots on goal. A general rule of thumb for coaches is that you rarely change what isn't broken during the playoffs, so expected the status quo regarding Kuhnhackl's status -- after all, he hasn't recorded a point since facing Sergei Bobrovsky and the Blue Jackets in the conference quarterfinals.
