It was a fitting that this hard-working checker notched his first while killing a penalty. Kuhnhackl also had four hits, but he doesn't offer enough value in any category to make him fantasy worthy.

Kuhnhackl will make his NHL debut Saturday, serving as a left winger on the fourth line Saturday against the Canadiens.
EDGE Analysis
He's expected to skate with Nick Bonino and Bryan Rust. Kuhnhackl, who scored seven goals and 15 points in 23 AHL games prior to his recall, is being counted upon to block shots and play strong in the neutral zone, according to coach Mike Sullivan. Earlier in the 23-year-old's career, he was thought to be a prospect with offensive upside. Right now, however, the team is simply looking for energy from its fourth line.

Kuhnhackl was recalled by the Penguins on Thursday, Jenn Menendez of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazaette reports.
EDGE Analysis
Kuhnhackl will join Bryan Rust as the two forwards recalled by the Penguins Thursday in what was a two-for-two swap with the team's AHL affiliate. After accumulating 15 points over 23 games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton thus far, he'll be an option for Saturday's lineup, which would mark his NHL debut.

The Penguins sent Kuhnhackl down to AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Thursday.

With Pascal Dupuis set to return to Pittsburgh's lineup Thursday against the Stars, the Penguins no longer have any need for Kuhnhackl's services as a depth forward. The 23-year-old winger never drew into the Penguins' lineup during his stay with the big club.

Tom Kuhnhackl has struggled this season in the minors. Kuhnhackl looked to be a top prospect the year after he was drafted in 2010 but he has regressed since and had only eight goals in 48 games with the AHL Baby Pens before he was demoted to the ECHL six weeks ago. He has an NHL caliber shot but apparently is struggling with the rest of his game.
