GM Ken Holland said on Sunday that there will likely be an update on forward Todd Bertuzzi's ailing back Monday. Bertuzzi missed both weekend games with the back injury. He has had plenty of problems in the past with his wonky back and at age 38, time is not on his side. Bertuzzi has two goals and three points in seven games thus far. Reserve him for now if he is in your lineup.

Bertuzzi has long been bothered by his back and missed time due to it as recently as last season. The injury is just the latest this season in a long line of ailments for the wounded Red Wings, who will call up Joakim Andersson to replace Bertuzzi on the roster.
