Even though it was a preseason contest, Todd Bertuzzi wasn't pleased with Detroit's 2-0 loss Saturday.
"I don't know, I think it's frustrating when you don't get any goals," Bertuzzi said. "That's two games for our unit that we haven't scored. I thought we had multiple chances to put the puck in the net." Detroit is now 2-2-0 in the preseason, but obviously we wouldn't recommend reading too much into that. On an individual level, Bertuzzi seemed to have a strong contest on a line with Gustav Nyqvist and Joakim Andersson.

Todd Bertuzzi was dropped to a line with Riley Sheahan and Tomas Tatar at practice after the Wings agreed to terms with Daniel Cleary.
Cleary took his spot alongside Joakim Andersson and Gustav Nyquist. Coach Mike Babcock said that Cleary could still be used on the top line, but that would bump down Justin Abdelkader. It's unclear where this shuffling will land Bertuzzi, but it will probably result in him moving down the lineup.

Todd Bertuzzi opened training camp on the third line with Gustav Nyquist and Joakim Andersson.
He missed the majority of the 2013 season with a sore back, but said he was going into training camp feeling much better.

Winger Todd Bertuzzi says he is feeling "a thousand times better" than last season as he and the Detroit Red Wings prepare to open training camp.
"I'm happy with where I'm at," said Bertuzzi, who was limited to 13 games last season(seven in the regular season) because of a bad back. "I feel strong and I'm skating better right now. I haven't had any issues in the morning or evening and that's a plus for me."

Although he was limited to seven games last season due to injuries, Todd Bertuzzi could prove to be a valuable member of the Detroit Red Wings in 2013-14.
Although Bertuzzi isn't expected to be one of the team's scoring leaders at the age of 38. He's still a big forward that can park himself in front of the net. At this point he might find himself on the third line though with limited power-play time, so odds are he'll have little to no fantasy value.

Helene St. James of the Detroit Free Press doesn't think Detroit should use a buyout on Todd Bertuzzi.
He missed most of the lockout-shortened season because of nerve pain in his back and right leg, but he was healthy enough to play in the postseason. The Wings will move to the Eastern Conference next season and a big, rugged forward like Bertuzzi should help them out in that regard.

Todd Bertuzzi is a healthy scratch on Saturday.
Drew Miller (hand) is ready to return and that's why Bertuzzi was pushed out of the lineup. Bertuzzi has no points and a minus-two rating in six playoff games.

After getting back into the Detroit lineup for Game 2, Todd Bertuzzi was a healthy scratch Saturday.
Thursday's game was Bertuzzi's first since February 7 as he suffered back problems and nerve pain in his right leg the last three months. He was joined in the press box by Ian White, Carlo Colaiacovo, Drew Miller and Jordin Tootoo. Bertuzzi was replaced in the Detroit lineup by Mikael Samuelsson, a bit of a surprise since the Red Wings won on Thursday.

Todd Bertuzzi will play in his first game since Feb. 7 in Game 2 against Anaheim Thursday night.
The veteran winger was cleared to return just last week after suffering through back issues and nerve pain in his right leg. Bertuzzi is slated to join Cory Emmerton and Patrick Eaves on the fourth line. His presence in the lineup will put Jordin Tootoo in the press box as a healthy scratch.

Todd Bertuzzi, who is healthy now, was scratched in Tuesday's playoff opener and he may not play in Game 2 either.
Mikael Samuelsson might not play either. "I think it's great to have veterans that are ready to go," coach Mike Babcock said. "But if you haven't played the whole year, I've got to hope that it's going. I haven't spent a whole lot of time feeding my family on hope. It's usually on know. So that's the part. So, sleep on it one more time, and decide."
