The Carolina Hurricanes might trade Tim Gleason in the very near future. Gleason isn't practicing, which is likely an indication that the talks are serious enough for the Hurricanes to bench him until a move is complete. It's believed that the Toronto Maple Leafs are a serious contender for his services and the deal might involve John-Michael Liles.

Tim Gleason's assist on Saturday was his 100th point as a member of the Carolina Hurricanes. Gleason started his career with the Los Angeles Kings where he had 28 points in two seasons before being dealt to Carolina before the start of the 2006-07 season. His fantasy value is limited as he is not a scoring defenseman but he usually averages about a penalty minute per game.
