Skinner stopped 19 of 22 shots in Thursday's 3-2 loss to the Devils.
EDGE Analysis
Skinner didn't look good in this game against a Devils team that was shorthanded due to the absence of key elements such as Dougie Hamilton (lower body) and Jack Hughes (shoulder). Still, the struggles are becoming a worrisome trend for the 26-year-old Skinner. He's gone 2-5-0 with a 3.77 GAA and an .868 save percentage over his last nine outings, but perhaps the most troubling aspect of that stretch is he's posted a save percentage of .900 or higher on just one occasion.

Skinner is set to start on the road against New Jersey on Thursday, per Jason Gregor of Oilers Nation.
EDGE Analysis
Skinner has been something of a mixed bag recently, posting a 2-1-0 record, 2.96 GAA and .880 save percentage across his past three appearances. Unreliability has also been the theme of his overall body of work in 2024-25 -- he has a 22-16-4 record, 2.88 GAA and .896 save percentage across 44 outings. New Jersey ranks an okay 14th in goals per game with 2.98. However, top forward Jack Hughes (shoulder) and offensive defenseman Dougie Hamilton (lower body) are both out, so Skinner won't be facing the Devils at their full potential.

Skinner made 20 saves in Monday's 3-2 loss to Buffalo.
EDGE Analysis
The two teams traded tallies through two periods, but a quick Sabres counterattack early in the third produced Tage Thompson's second goal of the night and the game-winner. Skinner has struggled since the beginning of February, going 3-5-0 over his last 10 outings with a 3.67 GAA and an .871 save percentage, but his starting spot appears safe as Calvin Pickard hasn't been any better (4.03 GAA, .879 save percentage) over that stretch.

Skinner has won his last two starts after struggling through the month of February, going 1-4-1 with a 3.77 GAA and an .880 save percentage in that month. Skinner is 22-15-4 with a 2.87 GAA and an .897 save percentage across 43 appearances this season. The Sabres are generating 3.13 goals per game in 2024-25, 12th in the NHL.

Skinner stopped 23 of 27 shots in Saturday's 5-4 win over the Stars.
EDGE Analysis
Skinner had a 5-1 lead to protect after two periods, but he nearly let it slip away. The Stars scored three times in a span of 4:12 in the third, but they couldn't find an equalizer, allowing Skinner to pick up a win in consecutive outings for the first time since mid-January. He's now 22-15-4 with a 2.87 GAA and an .897 save percentage over 43 appearances. The Oilers head east for a four-game road trip next week, beginning Monday in Buffalo.

Skinner will draw the home start versus the Stars on Saturday, per Tony Brar of Oilers TV.
EDGE Analysis
Skinner made 25 saves on 27 shots in Thursday's 3-2 overtime win over Montreal, his first victory since Feb. 4. Through 42 appearances this season, the 26-year-old netminder is sporting a 21-15-4 record, .898 save percentage and 2.84 GAA. He'll have a tough test Saturday against a Dallas club that sits fourth in the NHL with 3.40 goals per game and acquired Mikko Rantanen in a blockbuster trade from the Hurricanes on Friday.

Skinner stopped 25 of 27 shots in Thursday's 3-2 overtime win over the Canadiens.
EDGE Analysis
The Oilers let a couple of one-goal leads get answered in regulation, but Evan Bouchard clutched up at 4:53 of overtime to get the win. Skinner had gone five outings without a victory, losing three times in that span. For the season, the 26-year-old netminder is 21-15-4 with a 2.84 GAA and an .898 save percentage across 42 appearances. As long as the Oilers don't acquire a goalie before Friday's trade deadline, Skinner will remain the No. 1, though his play makes him a middling option in most fantasy formats

Skinner is slated to start at home against Montreal on Thursday, per Jason Gregor of Sports 1440 Edmonton on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Skinner is still searching for his first win since Feb. 4. He's 0-3-0 with a 4.55 GAA and an .863 save percentage over his past five outings. Montreal will enter Thursday's clash riding a five-game winning streak, so the Canadiens won't be the easiest of adversaries for Skinner.

Skinner gave up two goals on 16 shots in relief of Calvin Pickard in Tuesday's 6-2 loss to the Ducks.
EDGE Analysis
Skinner didn't have to wear the loss, but he didn't do anything to help the Oilers attempt a comeback. The 26-year-old has gone five appearances without a win, allowing a total of 18 goals on 131 shots in that span. Skinner remains at 20-15-4 on the year with a 2.87 GAA and an .897 save percentage across 41 games played. He'll likely start Thursday versus the Canadiens, but if the Oilers make a trade for a goalie, Skinner will be on notice that his No. 1 job is at risk.

Skinner turned aside 32 shots in Thursday's 4-3 loss to the Panthers.
EDGE Analysis
The two teams traded goals through the first two periods, but Skinner allowed two goals in less than three minutes midway through the third to decide things. The 26-year-old netminder has flopped badly since play resumed following the 4 Nations Face-Off, losing all three of his starts and coughing up 13 goals on 103 shots. Skinner remains stuck on 20 wins, and the slump has sent his save percentage on the season tumbling down to .898.
