Shea Weber left Tuesday night's game versus Winnipeg with a back injury and did not return. The Preds' blueline giant, as well as Team Canada's for the upcoming Olympics, is being evaluated. More details will follow once his is evaluated.

Shea Weber netted his 13th goal of the 2013-14 campaign in Monday's win over Dallas. He was credited with the game-winning goal and concluded the contest with a plus-3 rating. Weber leads all NHL defensemen in goals this season and he's tied for sixth among his blueline brethren in points with 34 in 48 games.

Shea Weber was named as an alternate captain for Team Canada in the upcoming Sochi Olympics. Sidney Crosby was named captain and Jonathan Toews will serve as the team's other alterante. It is quite an honor for Weber. One we consider well deserved.

Shea Weber scored a goal and picked up a pair of assists for the Predators in a 4-3 shootout win over Philadelphia Thursday. Weber's 12th tally of the season gives him a two-goal advantage on the next closest defensemen while his three points get him to 33, in 46 games. Eric Nystrom and David Legwand also found the back of the net in the Nashville win.

Shea Weber netted his 11th goal of the season in Tuesday's win over Calgary. He scored in the first period on the power play. Weber leads all NHL blueliners with 11 goals and he's first among defensemen with eight power-play markers as well.

Nashville Predators defenseman Shea Weber had two points (both assists) in his team's 3-2 win against the San Jose Sharks on Tuesday. He now has seven points (one goal, six helpers) in his last four games. He's had a very good season overall, with 29 points, 24 PIM and 94 SOG in 29 games. The only downside is his -12 rating, whether that's really his fault or not.

Shea Weber registered two assists on Saturday. Weber has only been held off the scoresheet twice in his last 11 games. He has 10 goals and 26 points in 39 contests in 2013-14.

Shea Weber is logging crazy amounts of ice time. In the Predators' last two games Weber has been on the ice for an astounding 62:15. Weber has always been a horse but the Preds' coaching staff is going to have to be careful not to burn him out.

Even as the Nashville Predators struggle, Shea Weber has been excelling. Weber has nine goals and 21 points in 34 games this season. He's also averaging 26:27 minutes per contest, which puts him on course to establish a new career-high. Beyond that, his teammates have been impressed by his consistency. "You never really see him play two bad games in a row," Kevin Klein said. "That's what you like to see is the consistency and leadership. He's doing it all right now."

Shea Weber notched a goal and an assist for the Predators, who fell to the Canadiens 4-3 in overtime Saturday night. Weber is really heating up, with points in five straight games to give him 20 and nine goals on the season. Nick Spaling and Gabriel Bourque recorded the other goals in the loss.
