Gomez collected two assists in Friday's win over Buffalo. Skating on the top line with Steve Bernier and Adam Henrique, Gomez is now up to 29 points in 47 games. While his best years are behind him and he's managed just 54 shots on goal all season ,the 35-year-old is showing he can still put up points. He has 11 points in his last 17 games, so if you're looking for a decent assist man in a deeper league, Gomez could be your guy.

Gomez dished out a pair of assists in Sunday's 5-2 win over the Flyers. Gomez has had some trouble finding the back of the net himself, but he's still been productive as he's added nine helpers in 15 games. The 35-year-old's late start to the season has limited him to just 42 games, but he's been able to contribute on a regular basis with 26 points and over 17:00 worth of ice time per game.

Gomez (illness) will play Friday against the Bruins on Friday, Tom Glitti of The Record reports. Gomez indicated he believed the illness was either food poisoning or a minor bout with the flu, but it will not prevent him from taking the ice Friday. He should be fine to place in lineups moving forward.

Gomez (flu) is questionable for Friday's game against the Bruins. After Gomez missed morning skate, Devils general manager Lou Lamoriello said the veteran center is "very questionable". If Gomez can't go, both Michael Ryder and Martin Havlat figure to join the lineup, following Thursday's trade of Jaromir Jagr to the Panthers.

Gomez notched his fifth goal of the season in Monday's 3-0 win over the Coyotes. While it was just his first goal since Jan. 9, Gomez has been heating up lately as he's gotten on the scoresheet in three straight and five of his last six. The 35-year-old has been working at a consistent pace since signing in December as he's grabbed 23 points in just 36 games, and could be worth a look in deeper leagues while he's rolling.

Gomez picked up a power-play assist in Saturday's loss to the Predators.Gomez's continued presence in a top-six role speaks to the Devils' lack of forward talent rather than representing a deserved appointment for the aging veteran. He thrived initially upon joining the team's active roster in December, but has been sputtering since late January. Gomez has no goals, four assists, and only 10 shot attempts over his last nine games.

Gomez handed out two assists in Monday's 5-2 triumph over the Sharks. Don't look now, but the 35-year-old has nine points in his last eight games, three of which were multi-point efforts. Skating primarily on a line with Adam Henrique and Jaromir Jagr or Steve Bernier (since Jagr has been out with an illness), life is good right now for Gomez, and there could be some fantasy value to be harvested here if you feel like taking a flyer. If you decide to take the plunge, just be ready to pull the plug as soon as he cools off, since the point-per-game pace is't likely to continue.

Gomez picked up two assists in Wednesday's 5-3 win over the Kings. Gomez's career looked to be on life support after initially losing out on a roster spot with the Devils out of training camp, but he's helped revive a moribund offense since signing a contract with the team in early December. He's produced four goals and 14 points over 21 games, solidifying himself as a top-six forward for the squad.

Gomez delivered three points -- one goal and two assists -- in New Jersey's 5-2 win over Philadelphia on Saturday night. He has 10 points in 16 games after putting up just 12 in 46 games the previous season. He is skating with Adam Henrique and Jaromir Jagr, and that trio was potent on Saturday night. Take a flyer on him -- you can get him on the cheap.

Gomez scored a goal and chipped in an assist in Monday's 3-2 shootout loss to the Islanders. The comeback parade continues for the veteran, who now has six points over his last five games. The 34-year-old even potted a nifty goal in the shootout and fired four shots on goal, flashing a glimpse of the Gomez of old. We wouldn't shake up our roster to make room for him just yet, but if you need some scoring and can acquire him without dropping a more valuable player, the former 84-point man makes for an interesting flier.
