Ryan Spooner started Tuesday night's 3-1 loss to the Winnipeg Jets on Boston's second line between Milan Lucic and Nathan Horton in the place of injured center David Krejci. He ended up with two shots and went 4 for 8 on the faceoffs he took during his 15:29 of ice time. Spooner also saw 3:34 of ice time on the power play. He made his debut against Montreal on Feb. 6 and he logged just 5:29 of ice time. "We're giving him the opportunity, being a real good centerman, to play with some good players," said coach Claude Julien. "He's a great playmaker. I think it's a great opportunity for Spoons to take. We'll see where he goes with that."

Ryan Spooner has been summoned by the Boston Bruins. Spooner has 12 goals and 45 points in 50 AHL games in 2012-13. He certainly has some offensive upside, but he's likely to serve as a bottom-six forward on Tuesday. With that in mind, we can't recommend grabbing him in standard leagues at this time.

Don't be surprised if the Boston Bruins call up Ryan Spooner. David Krejci is dealing with a lower body injury and if he can't play on Tuesday, Spooner might be summoned. Spooner has 12 goals and 45 points in 50 AHL games this season. He logged 5:29 minutes in his NHL debut on Feb. 6 and hasn't played with Boston since.

Ryan Spooner was sent back down to the AHL on Friday. He made his debut Wednesday and played 5:29. Spooner is a great prospect -- he has 30 points in 35 games in the AHL -- but getting such little ice time in the NHL wouldn't be great for his development. He'll get another chance should injuries strike and more playing time opens up.

Ryan Spooner is projected to make his NHL debut on Wednesday night. He practiced with Jamie Tardif and Lane MacDermid on Boston's fourth line during the morning skate. Spooner was recalled on an emergency basis because of injuries to Brad Marchand, Daniel Paille and Shawn Thornton. He will play because Marchand has been ruled out for the contest.

Ryan Spooner potted Providence's lone goal in its 2-1 loss to Portland on Wednesday night. The 20-year-old is one of the Bruins' best prospects and is in the midst of his first lengthy stay. Blessed with exceptional speed and creativity, Spooner has seven goals and 17 points in 24 games this year and may not be too far from the NHL.

Ryan Spooner had an assist in Providence's 3-2 win via the shootout Saturday night over Worcester. Spooner has excellent speed and playmaking skills. He has 14 points in 20 games this year, his first one after making the jump from the OHL. The center is not far away from seeing how he matches up against hockey's best, either.

Ryan Spooner tallied a goal in Providence's 5-2 win over Portland on Saturday night. It was an empty-netter, but it still counts all the same. Spooner is a creative forward with excellent speed. He has 13 points in 17 games in the AHL and could be ready for the NHL very soon.
