Although there has been no official decision made, there is a good chance Peter Budaj will get the start against the Panthers on Sunday. Carey Price is going to get the call Saturday against the Islanders so Montreal coach Michel Therrien may opt to give Price a rest for the second game of back-to-back contests this weekend.

Peter Budaj did what was needed in place of Carey Price Wednesday as the Canadiens escaped New Jersey with a 4-3 shootout win. With Carey Price resting in advance of Thursday's tilt with the Bruins, Budaj stopped 31 of 34 shots en route to his third win in his last four starts. His record on the year is an impressive 5-1-1 while his GAA stands and 1.80 and his save percentage is .934.

Just to confirm, Peter Budaj will play between the pipes on Wednesday. It will be Budaj's second start in Montreal's last four games. He has a 1.63 GAA and .939 save percentage, but has been limited to just six contests behind starting goaltender Carey Price.

Look for Peter Budaj to be in goal for Montreal on Wednesday night against New Jersey. The Canadiens will probably want to keep Carey Price fresh for Thursday's meeting versus Boston after he played in Monday's win over the Devils. Stay tuned for confirmation.

We would assume he plays the Capitals and Carey Price gets the nod against a division rival in the Leafs. Price is also expected to be between the pipes on Wednesday at Buffalo.
