The Blackhawks are hoping that Patrick Sharp (wrist) will be able to play on January 31st, the first game of a nine-game road trip.
If he does make it back by then, then Sharp would have recovered in the exact time period of the original prognosis for his return. Keep your fingers crossed if you have the talented forward on your fantasy team.

Patrick Sharp (wrist) is expected to miss at least two more weeks.
That means Sharp is more or less following the timetable established when the injury was evaluated a week ago. Sharp has 20 goals and 40 points in 42 games this season.

Patrick Sharp (hand/wrist) has been placed on the injured reserve list.
Sharp isn't expected to return for three-to-four weeks anyways, so this move isn't surprising. Sharp sustained the injury during Sunday's game.

Chicago will be without Patrick Sharp for the next three-to-four weeks because of what is believed to be a hand or wrist injury.
He scored his 20th goal of the season on Sunday, but Detroit's Jiri Hudler slashed him on his wrist as he fired the shot. Sharp stayed the game and later tumbled during a penalty kill. He landed on his hands. The good news is that he won't need surgery. This is an unfortunate blow to Sharp, who might have surpassed his career-high of 36 goals if he had stayed healthy.
