Eaves (ankle) re-signed with the Ducks on a three-year contract.
EDGE Analysis
Eaves was sent to the Ducks in late February in exchange for a conditional second-round pick, and he turned his short stint with Anaheim into 11 goals and three assists over 20 regular season tilts and added another four points (two goals, two assists) in seven playoff games. He will earn approximately $3.15 million per season over the next three years and should still provide plenty of fantasy value with his current club.

Eaves was left unprotected by the Ducks for the NHL's upcoming expansion, TSN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Eaves contributed 37 points for the Ducks last season, but the team obviously didn't consider him a vital part of the team. He could provide a veteran presence for the new Vegas squad as one of the better names made available by Anaheim, but the Knights do have a number of Ducks players to choose from.

Eaves missed the final 10 games of the postseason due to a high-ankle sprain.
EDGE Analysis
With the Ducks eliminated from the playoffs by the Predators on Monday, the team dropped the nebulous "lower-body" tag and we now have a better idea as to why Eaves was not able to suit up for the crucial games at the end. High-ankle sprains often require at least a month of recovery time, so while it's disappointing to many that Eaves was not able to play, it's now more understandable. The 33-year-old enjoyed something of a breakout campaign in his 12th season in the league, as his 32 goals and 51 points between his time in Dallas and Anaheim are new career highs. It remains to be seen if the Ducks will sign Eaves to stay on long term as he enters the free agent market this offseason.

Eaves (lower body) did not travel with the team to Nashville and will be out for Monday's Game 6.
EDGE Analysis
Eaves has not played during the entire month of May and, if the Ducks can't win Monday without him and fellow forward Rickard Rakell (lower body), his season will end that way. If Anaheim can pull out the victory, however, Eaves will have a chance to return for the essential Game 7 in Anaheim.

Eaves (lower body) was seen skating Saturday morning, and Ducks coach Randy Carlyle is taking that as a "good sign that he's getting a step closer," Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
There's ambiguity in that comment made by the bench boss; it's tough to know how many more hurdles the winger needs to clear in order to be green lit for a return. However, owners still hanging onto Eaves in playoff pools will probably take every bit of positive news given that he's missed the past eight games dating back to the conference semifinal series against the Oilers. Since Carlyle did not say that Eaves would be back for Game 5 against the Predators on Saturday, it's probably safe to assume that he won't be out there for that one.

Eaves (lower body) will serve as a scratch for an eighth consecutive game.
EDGE Analysis
Considering Eaves has made little progress in recovery from this pesky injury, it's looking quite likely that he won't be able to suit up for the rest of this series. He shouldn't be counted on for fantasy purposes until his injury has made some tangible improvements.

Eaves (lower body) did not take part in warmups ahead of Tuesday's Game 3 in Nashville, indicating that he won't suit up for the contest.
EDGE Analysis
Eaves will miss his seventh straight contest and doesn't appear to be any closer to a return than he was prior to Sunday's game. Corey Perry is slated to continue handling top-line duties with Eaves still out, while Ondrej Kase is projected to play on the third line at right wing Tuesday.

Eaves (lower body) has been ruled out for Sunday's Game 2 against the Predators.
EDGE Analysis
There's been no real update on Eaves' status since he was seen working out earlier in the week, as he's been absent from the ice since Game 3 in the Ducks' last series against the Oilers. He'll continue to nurse the lower body injury, and his next opportunity to return will be in Tuesday's Game 3 in Nashville.

Eaves (lower body) will be sidelined for Friday's Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals against the Predators.
EDGE Analysis
Eaves was seen walking around the locker room and working out Thursday, but he is still not recovered from a lower body injury. It was initially thought that Eaves would be out for the season, but the team remains optimistic he can return at some point during their playoff run. His next potential opportunity to take the ice will be in Sunday's Game 2.

Eaves (lower body) was walking around the locker room and working out Thursday, per GM Bob Murray.
EDGE Analysis
While Murray had initially thought that Eaves would be done for the season, he is now optimistic that the winger may be able to return before season's end, per Helene Elliott of the LA Times. The Ducks escaped their second-round series with the Oilers without Eaves for the last four games, but his prolific scoring ability could be the difference between another Stanley Cup Finals berth and elimination against a hot Nashville squad.
