Eaves (lower body) is unlikely to play Friday against Montreal.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran right wing has been dealing with injury issues since training camp and has been limited to just two games this season. Eaves hasn't practiced since missing Sunday's tilt with Buffalo, which seems to indicate that he could be racing against the clock to try to get back in the lineup in time for the team's next game, Tuesday in Philadelphia. The Ducks should issue updates on Eaves status over the weekend and leading up to Tuesday.

Eaves (lower body) did not take part in the team's practice session Wednesday, Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
Eaves missed the first three contests of the season because of the lower-body issue and returned for just two contests before missing another. It appears as though it could nag him for a bit, but he hasn't been ruled out for Friday at this point. Expect another update on his status before the contest.

Eaves (lower body) will miss Sunday's game against Buffalo, Eric Stephens of The Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
After opening the season on the injured reserve, Eaves will now miss his fourth game with a lower-body issue. While it's unknown if it's the same issue as before, this certainly isn't good news for the 33-year-old winger. Eaves will look to return Friday against Montreal.

Eaves (lower body) will play in Wednesday's contest against the Islanders, Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
Eaves began 2017 on injured reserve, but is ready to rejoin the lineup. He will skate alongside Corey Perry and Ryan Getzlaf on the top line and should partake in the man advantage, making him a solid candidate for daily lineups and season-long league.

Eaves (lower body) was on the ice for morning skate and could return to the lineup against the Islanders on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
If Eaves is available to suit up, the Ducks would need to activate him from injured reserve and either reassign a player to the minors -- Giovanni Fiore being the leading candidate -- or designate Nick Ritchie (lower body) for IR to stay under the 23-man roster limit. The veteran Eaves was aiming for an Opening Night debut, but has yet to get clearance to play -- instead watching from the press box for Anaheim's first three games.

Eaves (lower body) will begin the 2017-18 campaign on injured reserve, Eric Stephens of The Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
Eaves was previously considered probable for Thursday's regular-season opener, but his recovery evidently hasn't progressed as expected. Nick Ritchie will likely replace Eaves on the Ducks' first line until the veteran winger is given a clean bill of health.

Eaves (lower body) has a probable designation for Thursday's season home opener against the Coyotes, Curtis Zupke of the Los Angeles Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Head coach Randy Carlyle was the one to say that Eaves is "banged up," but still likely to play from the start of the new season. The Alberta native will have missed the whole preseason, so his owners shouldn't be surprised if he gets off to a bit of a slow start upon his eventual return.

Eaves (lower body) was still held off the ice Wednesday, Eric Stephens of The Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
Word came out last Saturday that Eaves sustained another lower-body injury, one that wasn't tied to his ankle/foot maladies from the playoffs. The Ducks open the regular season Oct. 5 for a match against the Coyotes, and you can bet the power-play winger will be reevaluated ahead of that contest or maybe even before Thursday's preseason tilt against the visiting Sharks.

Eaves is dealing with a lower-body injury that's unrelated to the ankle/foot injuries he dealt with during the 2017 Stanley Cup playoffs, Eric Stephens of The Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Ducks still have four preseason games remaining, starting with Sunday's home clash with the expansion Golden Knights, so it's a bit too soon to start seriously worrying about his regular-season availability. Eaves managed 37 points in 59 games with the Stars and 14 in 20 with the Ducks last regular season. Look for the enigmatic winger to be reevaluated in the coming days.

Eaves (ankle) will be ready for the start of training camp, Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
Eaves certainly had an interesting offseason as he was left unprotected in the 2017 NHL Expansion Draft by the Ducks, but was then later re-signed to a three-year deal. The mid-season move to California seems to have worked for the winger considering he notched 11 goals and three helpers in 20 contests with Anaheim. While he may not be in a top-six role any longer, the veteran can still offer top-end fantasy value and should push for both the 20-goal and 40-point thresholds.
