Marner racked up a goal and three assists to help lead OHL London to a 5-3 win over Kitchener in Game 2 of their playoff series on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Another day, another dominant effort from the kid who may very well be the top prospect in all of hockey. After posting 116 points in 57 regular season games, Marner now has 19 points in just eight playoff contests. It's hard to tell what the Leafs plan is as an organization these days, but they certainly realize that it will not help Marner's long-term development to play another season of junior hockey.

Marner, who is tied for fourth in the OHL with 47 points after 22 games, is one of 30 players invited to Hockey Canada's selection camp for the 2016 World Junior Hockey Championship. He has 15 goals and 32 assists, and is currently on a 16-game point streak.
EDGE Analysis
Marner will be counted on to deliver some offence to Team Canada. He was one of the best performers at the team's August camp. Marner has been working on his two-way game back in junior and he's been doing that at center -- he spent most of last season at right wing. The Leafs may be hard pressed to return him to junior next season if his game continues to grow the way it has this season.

Marner had five assists in OHL London's 9-2 win over Guelph on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
The unit of Marner, Coyotes top prospect Christian Dvorak and 2016 draft eligible forward Matthew Tkachuk are making a mockery of the OHL. The trio combined for 17 points on Friday, with Marner dishing out five helpers, four of which came with the man advantage. The fourth overall pick in this past June's draft is up to 26 points in just 14 games played this season.

Marner has been assigned to the London Knights of the Ontario Hockey League, the Canadien Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
Marner, the fourth overall pick in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft, spent the majority of the 2014-15 season in the OHL, so this isn't much of a surprise. Over 63 games, Marner finished second in the league with 126 points, including 44 goals. He wasn't able to make the Leafs roster, but the 18-year-old has plenty of time to develop.
