Holy sizzle. This was Marner's first multi-point game since December 28. And he now has seven goals and four assists in his last 10 games. Marner was utterly dialled-in Saturday night and showed why keeper owners are so very high on him.

Marner has started to pick up the pace and now has five points in his last seven games. Coach Mike Babcock has juggled the lines around a bit and Marner has recently seen time with a struggling Nazem Kadri. Marner's 36 points (54 games) project to a mid-50s finish unless he and Kadri develop some chemistry.

"I'm a real big fan of playing with (bruiser) Matt Martin," said Marner. "He opens up a lot of ice and space for me." Marner was bumped down to the fourth line because he lost his check and got bumped off pucks too much on the upper lines. Strong performances on the fourth should push him right back up the lineup, as long as the lesson was learned.

The offensive outburst was the first four-point showing of Marner's career, and he now has three goals and 21 assists through 35 games this season. While that's now a respectable total, and he's recorded an impressive eight multi-point showings for the campaign, fantasy owners were probably hoping for better production from the sophomore. Marner owns oodles of offensive upside and continued patience will likely pay off over the coming months.

Marner's three assists in Friday's 4-3 win over the Penguins snapped a seven-game point drought.

The shifty scoring pivot only skated for 11:59 in the narrow victory, but he still managed to dish for three scores in the first two periods. Marner's value has taken a hit since he's often started games in the bottom six, but he's still averaging 2:14 of ice time on the man advantage and there's bound to be some positive correction with his current shooting percentage of 3.4.

Marner has nine points, including eight helpers, in his last seven games, so the ice is clearly melting off his game. On Saturday, he skated with Auston Matthews and the two clicked right away. It remains to be seen if Marner sticks with Matthews, but he's a must activate regardless.

Marner snapped a 17-game goal drought when he found twine Saturday in a 4-1 win over Boston. He also added an assist.

He picked up a turnover at the top of the circles inside the Bruins' zone and fired a rocket past Tuukka Rask's glove. Marner had been struggling this season, but he was recently reunited with James Van Riemsdyk and Tyler Bozak, and that seems to be the elixir he needed to fire up his soul. Marner has four points in his last two games and seven in his last five.

Marner has been feast or famine this year for Toronto. He's only scored in four of the Leafs' past 13 contests, but three of those have been multi-assist games. Though he manufactured two goals against the Bruins, he's far too streaky to trust regularly.

Marner had a pair of assists in Monday's 3-2 win over Los Angeles.

EDGE Analysis

This was a welcome sight for Marner, as he'd gone his past four games without posting anything on the score sheet for the Leafs. Getting him going will only serve to make Toronto's already potent attack even more dangerous.
