Smith (lower-body) will not play in Saturday's game, David Vest, Senior Director of News Content for the Coyotes reports.
EDGE Analysis
Anders Lindback will get the start between the pipes instead. Lindback has a 2-3-0 record, 2.41 GAA and .915 save percentage through three starts and six appearances in all.

Smith (lower body) is questionable for Saturday's game against the Jets.
EDGE Analysis
The Coyotes will hope Smith will be able to go Saturday, as he was fantastic in his last start Thursday against Montreal, stopping 31 of 33 shots en route to a 3-2 upset victory. His status should be confirmed ahead of Saturday evening's matchup with the Jets, but if he is held out of the contest, Anders Lindback will likely get the start in goal.

Smith waltzed into Montreal on Thursday night and made 31 saves on 33 shots to secure an upset victory.
EDGE Analysis
In part, this is good luck -- Smith and the Coyotes caught the Habs at the right moment, with the team slumping a bit after a white-hot start -- but the veteran netminder also played well while winning for the third time in his last four starts. Smith's inconsistency has, however, led to an ugly set of season stats, and the difficult-to-predict nature of his blowups makes him a tough roll in fantasy.

Smith will be starting in net for Thursday evening's road contest against Montreal, Sarah McLellan of the Arizona Republic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Smith had a rough go of it in his last outing against the Bluejackets, giving up five goals in a loss. The loss dropped his record to 7-5-1 on the season, and he has been giving up a lot of goals, seen in his 3.10 GAA. He draws a decidedly unfavorable matchup on Thursday playing at Montreal, who are currently tied for first place in the Eastern Conference with a 14-3-2 record, though they have come back down to Earth slightly after losing two of their past three games.

Smith was terrible Saturday, getting lit up for five goals on 21 shots by Columbus in a 5-2 loss.
EDGE Analysis
Yikes. The veteran netminder has actually been rather reliable of late -- giving up two goals or less in four of his last five starts -- but turns in his fair share of stinkers, like the six-goal debaucle on Oct. 27 against Boston. Nonetheless, Smith is a bonafide starter who will play a ton of games (15 appearances so far this year) on a mediocre Coyotes team, so gauge your expectations accordingly. After Saturday's meltdown, the 33-year-old is now 7-5-1 with a 3.10 GAA and .901 save percentage.

Smith was the first goalie off the ice in the Saturday morning skate, Sarah McLellan of the Arizona Republic reports, likely indicating that he'll be the starting goalie Saturday against the Blue Jackets later that night.
EDGE Analysis
Arizona rattled off three consecutive wins ahead of Saturday's matchup, whereas the Blue Jackets are coming off a win of their own but keep toiling in the cellar of the Eastern Conference. Smith has started in all but two games for the 'Yotes thus far, currently working with a 2.94 GAA and .909 save percentage on the season.

Smith made 27 saves on 28 shots in Thursday's 4-1 win over the Oilers.
EDGE Analysis
It was the veteran netminders best start in a while, as Smith hadn't held a team to less than two goals since Oct. 14. Smith has won three of his past four starts and will eye another Saturday against the Blue Jackets.

Smith was the first goalie off the ice Thursday morning Sarah McLellan of the Arizona Republic reports. This indicates that Smith is in line to start in the night game in Arizona against the Oilers.
EDGE Analysis
Smith has come down to Earth after a blazing start in which he gave up just two goals in his first three starts of the season. The 33-year-old veteran has posted a mediocre 3.11 GAA and a .904 save percentage through 13 games, though he did play very well in his last start against the Kings, which also happened to be his 400th career NHL appearance. Smith has a nice matchup Thursday against an Edmonton team that has struggled to start the season, winning just six of their first 16 games. Smith has enjoyed success against the Oilers in his career, compiling a 10-1-1 record in 14 regular season games against them.

Smith made 33 saves in Tuesday's 3-2 win over the Kings.
EDGE Analysis
Smith improved to 6-4-1 on the season with Tuesday's victory and had an easy night against a poor Kings offense. He'll likely seek his second straight win Thursday against the Oilers.

Smith will be between the pipes in Tuesday's game against the Kings, Craig Morgan of FOX Sports Arizona reports.
EDGE Analysis
Smith struggled in his last start Saturday against the Rangers, surrendering three goals on just 17 shots before being pulled from the contest in the second period. Anders Lindback wasn't substantially better Monday against the Ducks, allowing three goals on 36 shots, so it isn't shocking that the Yotes' are opting to roll with Smith in the second of back-to-back games Tuesday against L.A. Tuesday will mark Smith's 400th career NHL appearance, in which he will look to secure his sixth win of the season against a Kings squad that has been mediocre offensively.
