Mike Ribeiro (slight MCL tear) isn't expected to play in Thursday against Los Angeles. It will be the second straight game Ribeiro has missed due to the injury. Ribeiro has expressed a willingness to play through the injury, but it looks like Stars coach Glen Gulutzan will give him more time to heal.

Mike Ribeiro's knee injury is a slight MCL tear, according to Stars coach Glen Gulutzan. Ribeiro missed Tuesday's game because of the injury and Gulutzan wasn't sure how Ribeiro was able to play through the injury on Saturday. Ribeiro skated on Tuesday and he's willing continue to play, but Gulutzan might decide to keep him out of the lineup for a little while. "I think all guys are different," Gulutzan said. "In Ribby's case, we just don't want Ribby to put that knee in a vulnerable situation, where guys can take a run at him and he can't get out of the way. As far as blazing speed, that's not part of Ribby's repertoire...but we want him to have the ability to get away from guys."

Mike Ribeiro will miss Tuesday's game against Anaheim due to a knee injury. Ribeiro continued to play on Saturday after sustaining a knee-on-knee hit involving Edmonton's Theo Peckham, but the Stars want to err on the side of caution. Ribeiro will miss at least one game and have an MRI. If everything turns out to be fine, then Ribeiro will travel to California for Thursday's game against Los Angeles.

Mike Ribeiro scored two goals in the Stars' 4-1 win over the Predators Thursday night. He was selected as the game's first star for his efforts. Ribeiro also managed to avoid serious injury after taking a puck to the face late in the second period. Although he lost a few teeth and his face is a bit swollen, Ribeiro returned to the game wearing a full cage to protect his face. Loui Eriksson registered two assists in the vicotry, while Jamie Benn and Adam Burish scored Dallas' other goals.

Mike Ribeiro scored his sixth goal of the season in a 5-3 loss to the St. Louis Blues Monday night. Ribeiro is typically revered for his playmaking ability, despite being one of the leagues most lethal shootout specialists. With 21 assists on the season it is clear Ribeiro has had success this season utilizing his teammates surrounding him.

Mike Ribeiro said he was all right after taking a big hit from Los Angeles defenseman Jack Johnson during overtime on Wednesday. "He's adamant that he's fine," said coach Glen Gulutzan. "We'll see in the morning, but as of now he's got his two boys in the locker room, he's shaved and getting ready for Thanksgiving." Ribeiro helped set up the game-winning goal in the extra session by Steve Ott. He has 12 assists and 14 points in 21 games this season.

Mike Ribeiro was the only goal scorer for the Dallas Stars in their 4-1 loss to the San Jose Sharks on Saturday night. It was just his second tally of the year, and his 12th point in 19 games, so he's still not exactly producing at last year's 71-point pace. With more luck going his way, though, the pass-first center should find the back of the net more often, as he's hit on just two of his 38 shots this season. His career shooting percentage is over 10 points higher. Loui Eriksson recorded the assist, his 18th point of the season. The helper is just his second point in his last five games.

Mike Ribeiro assisted on a game-tying goal by Adam Burish. The polarizing pivot won't blow you away with his points totals, but he's a solid scorer (especially now that Brad Richards is out of the fold). Ribeiro has seven points so far, but he's a dangerous threat when his shots are connecting. So far he's cold with just one tally (5.9 shooting percentage), but keep an eye out for one of his goal-scoring hot streaks.

Dallas' top line comprised of Mike Ribeiro, Brenden Morrow and Michael Ryder registered seven points in a 4-2 win over Columbus Saturday night. It was a dominating performance paced by Ribeiro who registered three assists, the first of which was the shifty pivot's 500th career point. We expect Ribeiro to have a breakout season now that he is the team's top center with the defection of Brad Richards.
