Michael Raffl (concussion) skated Monday and he may be available to play Tuesday. He was injured on a hit from Colorado's Gabriel Landeskog on Jan. 2, but he's not feeling any ill-effects.

Michael Raffl (concussion) will sit out Saturday's game and be re-examined by the Flyers medical staff. The Flyers are out west in Phoenix and will return after tonight's game, so Raffl will accompany the team home and get checked out by doctors as early as Sunday. He has been a pleasant surprise for the Flyers as he has two goals and 11 points in 29 games with a goal and six assists in his last 10.

Michael Raffl suffered a concussion during Thursday's game. Raffl sustained the injury when he was struck by Colorado's Gabriel Landeskog. Flyers coach Craig Berube felt it was a clean, though obviously unfortunate, hit. Raffl will miss at least one game as a result, but given that concussions typically difficult to predict, we would be surprised if we ended up getting a firmer timetable than day-to-day.

Michael Raffl registered two assists on Monday. Raffl now has two goals and 11 points in 27 games this season. The 25-year-old rookie might pick things up in the second half of 2013-14, but we can't recommend picking him up in standard leagues at this time.

Michael Raffl missed practice on Friday with a scheduled day off for maintenance. It was the final day that Raffl's dad was in town from Europe so that was likely the reason he missed practice. Raffl has a goal and five points in his last four games so if he goes into a slump, we suggest the Flyers should pick up the tab and fly his dad back.

Michael Raffl generated three assists in Sunday's stunning 5-4 shootout loss to the Washington Capitals. Seven of his eight points from this season have come in the last six games. It seems like he's getting some great opportunities lately, so he's at least worth watching. It might be best to focus on his recent results (while also noting that he might just be on a hot streak, too).

Michael Raffl played on the Flyers' top line on Thursday. Philadelphia Flyers coach Craig Berube's gamble paid off as the line of Raffl, Claude Giroux, and Jakub Voracek accounted for both of Philadelphia's goals in a 2-1 victory. That included Raffl's second goal of his career. He now has five points in 20 games. Keep an eye on this situation because Raffl will have some fantasy value if he stays on the team's first line.

Michael Raffl scored his first NHL goal in Philadelphia's 5-4 shootout defeat on Monday. Raffl also registered an assist, giving him four points in 16 contests. He's got a fair amount of offensive upside, but he's only averaging 12:37 minutes per contest.

Despite not scoring a goal in 16 NHL games, Michael Raffl remains on the second line. Raffl will line up on Saturday with Brayden Schenn and Wayne Simmonds as the Flyers still believe in his offensive talent. "He's played really well I think," coach Craig Berube said. "He's backchecked well, he's blocked shots, he's killed penalties good. I have no problem with that. I think there's more there though on the offensive side and we're going to push him until we can get it out of him." He is worth looking at in keeper leagues as the Flyers think he is a top six forward.
