Raffl (lower body) is expected to miss 6-8 weeks due to his injury, Tim Panaccio of CSN Philly reports.
EDGE Analysis
The diagnosis effectively ends Raffl's season unless the Flyers can somehow sneak their way into the playoffs. If this is indeed the end of the season for Raffl, he finishes with just eight goals and three assists and ended the season on a 21-game point-less streak.

Raffl was forced out of Tuesday's game against the Avalanche after suffering a lower-body injury and he was unable to return.
EDGE Analysis
General manager Ron Hextall said there will be an update on Raffl's status on Wednesday. The forward has struggled this season when healthy, even as a top-six forward at times. He has very little fantasy appeal at this juncture.

Raffl contributed two hits and two blocked shots Monday, but was held off the scoresheet in the 2-0 home loss to the Blues.
EDGE Analysis
Don't let that top-line assignment with Claude Giroux and Jakub Voracek fool you; Raffl is barely moving the puck. The versatile winger only has two points in 16 games this calendar year, not to mention a minus-5 rating over that span. Worse yet, he hasn't factored into a goal since Jan. 8. With the Flyers owning a minus-20 goal differential and struggling to gain steam in a super-competitive Metropolitan Division, it's advised that you consider alternatives to Raffl.

Raffl skated with Claude Giroux and Matt Read during Friday's practice, Dave Isaac of the Courier-Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Raffl and Giroux have been spending most of their time with Jakub Voracek or Wayne Simmonds this season, but the switch to Read is new. It also likely isn't as dangerous of a trio. Raffl is currently sporting a five-game point drought and has just eight goals and 11 points through 36 games this season. The 28-year-old winger isn't a viable fantasy asset in most settings.

Raffl will return to the top line on Friday, Sam Carchidi of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 28-year-old only missed one game during his one week injury recovery, so owners should be thankful for the NHL's Christmas break. His nine points in 27 games aren't too great, however, so he might not be a great start in most leagues.

Raffl left Thursday night's game against the Devils with a lower-body injury and will be out 1-2 weeks, per GM Ron Hextall.
EDGE Analysis
Raffl had been experiencing something of a slump prior to going down with the injury, scoring just one goal in his last seven games. Luckily for him, the NHL's Christmas break will afford him some time to get healthy, so hopefully he can return to action without missing too many games.

Raffl scored a second-period goal during Wednesday's win over Washington to snap a five-game pointless stretch.
EDGE Analysis
Raffl continues to see the majority of his even-strength minutes with Claude Giroux and Jakub Voracek, but it hasn't helped the 28-year-old Austrian's fantasy results. There are very few seasonal fantasy settings where Raffl moves the needle, but he checks out as a potential low-priced flier in daily contests as long as he's lining up with Giroux and Voracek.

Raffl scored his second goal of the season in Tuesday's 3-2 shootout loss to Ottawa.
EDGE Analysis
It's been slow going for Raffl early on this year, and he skated only 12:38 in this one, so his role remains pretty slender. There's no reason for fantasy owners to pay this goal much mind.

Raffl (abdomen) returned from an eight-game absence Thursday against the Islanders, skating 10:21 without a shot or a point.
EDGE Analysis
He occupied the top-line slot at left wing with Claude Giroux and Wayne Simmonds, but Raffl wasn't used at all on the power play or penalty kill and ended up skating far fewer shifts than his linemates. Even though he gets to ride shotgun along those two studs for now, the fantasy upside is still relatively low here.

Raffl (abdomen) will return to the lineup for Thursday's game against the Islanders, Sam Carchidi of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
Raffl has missed the Flyers' last eight games with an abdomen injury, but evidently won't be eased back into action Thursday, as he's expected to skate with Claude Giroux and Wayne Simmonds on Philadelphia's top line against the Isles. Savvy owners looking for sneaky value plays in daily contests may want to consider including Raffl in their lineups, as he should get plenty of ice time against an Islanders team that just gave up six goals to Tampa Bay on Tuesday.
