Murray will guard the cage against the Flyers on Wednesday's Game 4 tilt, Jason Mackey of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
EDGE Analysis
Murray has been hot and cold in this series, as he shutout the Flyers in Game 1, gave up four goals in Game 2 and then made 26 of 27 possible saves in Game 3. Which version of the netminder shows up Wednesday will likely determine the outcome -- although with Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin and Phil Kessel on the ice, the 23-year-old should be able to count on some offensive support.

Murray made 26 saves on 27 shots in a 5-1 win over the Flyers in Sunday's Game 3.
EDGE Analysis
So far in this series Murray has allowed zero goals on 24 shots, four goals on 19 shots, and now one goal on 27 shots. That's inconsistent, to say the least. The 23-year-old had a 3.38 GAA and .898 save percentage in his last eight regular season games after a lengthy absence, so even with two strong playoff starts there are still reasons for concern.

Murray will be between the pipes for Sunday's Game 3 versus the Flyers, Dave Isaac of The Courier Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Murray produced a dud in Game 2, as he allowed four goals on 19 shots in a 5-1 loss to even the series. Still, the Penguins couldn't figure out Flyers' goalie Brian Elliott on Wednesday, producing just one goal of offensive support, so it was an uphill battle for Murray anyway. Those looking to start Murray in fantasy settings have a favorable outlook, though, since the 23-year-old is 8-1 following a playoff loss in his career.

Murray allowed four goals on 19 shots in a 5-1 loss to the Flyers in Game 2 of the first round of the playoff on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
The 23-year-old didn't play as poorly as that stat line suggests, as he was a victim of some bad luck, but Murray did have an off night. In addition to the Flyers scoring twice on the power play, the Flyers benefitted from a puck deflecting off Kris Letang in front of the net into the goal. The fourth score came from a highlight-reel move from Travis Konecny. Murray, though, is notorious for his bounce-back playoff performances, so one has to figure he will be sharper on Sunday. Murray is 8-1 following a playoff loss in his career.

Murray will guard the cage against the Flyers in Game 2 on Friday, Sam Carchidi of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
After posting a 3.38 GAA in his final eight outings of the regular season, Murray came out strong Wednesday and shutout the Flyers. The Thunder Bay native hasn't allowed a postseason goal in three straight games, dating back to the 2017 Stanley Cup Finals and will look to keep rolling. The netminder will also be looking for some offensive support, which his teammates provided in bulk by notching seven goals in Game 1.

Murray stopped all 22 shots he saw, as his team coasted to a 7-0 rout of Philadelphia in Game 1 on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Murray had to work for this shutout, making several quality saves in the second period. His play through the regular season left him as a bit of a question mark going into this series, but if Wednesday was any indication, he's back on top of his game. If that's the case, he's going to be very valuable in playoff pools and daily situations, especially during this series against a Flyers side that looked overmatched in Game 1.

Murray was first off the ice at morning skate as he prepares for Game 1 of the Eastern Conference quarterfinals versus the Flyers on Wednesday, Sam Werner of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Thunder Bay, Ontario native became the first goalie in NHL history to win the Stanley Cup twice as a rookie, so naturally, he'll be tasked with helping the Penguins vie for a three-peat. Murray compiled a 27-16-3 record, 2.92 GAA and .907 save percentage during the regular season and while those were the worst ratios of his young career, it's worth noting that he posted a robust .923 save percentage with one win over two starts and three total appearances facing Philadelphia. The 23-year-old will certainly be a popular pick in playoff pools.

Murray made 26 saves in Thursday's 5-4 overtime win over the Blue Jackets.
EDGE Analysis
The victory was a crucial one, as the Penguins now need only one more point in their final game Friday at home against the Senators in order to clinch home-ice advantage in the first round of the playoffs. Murray will likely give way to Casey DeSmith for that contest rather than playing both ends of a back-to-back, in which case he'd head into the postseason having won four of his last six starts but with a rough .895 save percentage.

Murray will guard the cage versus the Blue Jackets on Thursday, Jason Mackey of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
EDGE Analysis
Murray will make his seventh straight appearance in goal, having posted a 3-2-1 record and 3.34 GAA in his previous six outings. The netminder has been subpar since returning from a nine-game absence due to a concussion, but it appears coach Mike Sullivan will let the 23-year-old work through whatever problems he is having. If the Pens take care of business Thursday, look for Casey DeSmith to take the second half of the back-to-back against Ottawa on Friday.

Murray allowed three goals on 34 shots in a 3-1 loss to the Capitals on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
This was a tough second half of a back-to-back, but overall, Murray hasn't played well lately. Since returning from injury on Mar. 20, he is 3-3-1 with a .902 save percentage. Murray's experienced one of the most disappointing seasons for any goaltender in 2017-18. He only has 26 victories in large part because of multiple injuries, but he also owns a .907 save percentage and 2.90 GAA. It will be interesting to see if Murray can improve his play during the playoffs. Through the first three years of his career, he's been a much better goaltender during the playoffs than regular season.
