Read (illness) notched an assist in 18:15 worth of ice time in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Sabres. Read was a game-time decision for Saturday's contest, but he was deemed go to go after warmups and should be fine for the Flyers' next two games in advance of the upcoming NHL All Star break.

Read (illness) will be a game-time decision Saturday against the Sabres, Sam Carchidi of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports. Read is reportedly battling the flu. If he isn't able to play, Jason Akeson is slated to take his place in the Flyers' lineup. The team should update Read's status prior to the puck being dropped on Saturday.

Read picked up a pair of assists in Thursday's overtime win against the Capitals. It's a rare beam of light in what's been a dark season offensively for Read, who still has just 16 points in 41 games. He entered play Thursday with just a lonely assist over his prior eight contests, so he's really showing few signs of coming out of his season-long slump.

Read bagged two helpers in Saturday's 7-4 win over Toronto. Read hasn't had a noteworthy year, and he's on pace for just 32 points. If he reaches that mark, it would be his worst offensive showing in a full season at the NHL level. Adjust your roster accordingly.

Read scored a goal on five shots, assisted on Sean Couturier's shortie and went plus-2 Thursday against the Devils. With the fine night, Read snapped an extended slump, as he'd gone minus-6 without a point since Nov. 22, an eight-game stretch of misery. The goal was the Flyers' second of a 4-1 win, so he got credit for his second game-winner of the year as well. With just 10 points to show for 28 games this year, Read doesn't belong in many fantasy lineups.

Read collected an assist on the Flyers' first goal in Thursday's 4-1 win over Florida. He's got just five points in 13 games. More concerning is that he's still posting a big "one" under the goal column. His shot percentage is well below his career mark, so we'd expect to see him right this ship. Nonetheless, this slow start is, as we've said before, "worrisome" for owners.

Read has no goals and three assists through six games this season. After a 22 goal campaign last season, Read has yet to find the back of the net this year. He should get some opportunities, as he's been playing on the team's second power play unit, but for now his slow start should be some cause for concern.

Matt Read had a goal and an assist in Philadelphia's 5-2 victory on Sunday. Read had been held off the scoresheet in his previous six games. He now has 21 goals and 38 points in 71 contests in 2013-14. The 27-year-old is likely to get 40-50 points next season.

Matt Read netted his 20th goal of the season on Monday. Read has reached the 20-goal milestone in two of his three campaigns, with the shortened season being the only exception. Despite that, his fantasy value is limited in standard leagues and at the age of 27, we doubt he's going to take a major step up in the years to come.
