Hackett (unspecified issue) was not spotted at Monday morning's skate.
Andrey Makarov was recalled by the team, so it looks like he'll back up Anders Lindback on Monday against the Coyotes, with the reason for Hackett's absence not yet clarified.

Hackett stopped seven of 10 shots in relief of Anders Lindback in Saturday's loss to Colorado.
A horrible showing from Hackett, who has given up three or more goals in each of his five appearances this season. The 25-year-old was credited with the loss Saturday, bringing his record down to 0-4-1 on the season. Considering he has a .884 save percentage and 4.32 GAA and is the backup on a team at the bottom of the standings, Hackett holds little to no fantasy value right now.

Hackett stopped 38 shots, but took a 4-3 loss to the Coyotes on Thursday.
Apparently he wasn't limited by his knee issue, as Hackett turned in a strong outing, but was ultimately sunk by Sam Gagner's early-overtime power-play goal. It's anyone's guess how the remaining starts will be broken out between Hackett and Anders Lindback, but the Buffalo goalie situation remains one to avoid for fantasy purposes.

Hackett (knee) has been confirmed as Thursday's starter in goal against the Coyotes.
Though Hackett reported some knee soreness after Wednesday's practice, coach Ted Nolan relayed that the goalie will "be ready to go" for Thursday's contest, which will feature the 30th place Sabres taking on the 29th place Coyotes.

Hackett (knee) is on track to start Thursday's game against the Coyotes.
Though Hackett reported some knee soreness after Wednesday's practice, he looks like a go Thursday for the Sabres, who are 1-8-2 over their past 11 games. He'll take aim Thursday at an Arizona squad that snapped an eight-game slide with Tuesday's 5-4 overtime win over Detroit.

Hackett reported some knee soreness after Wednesday's practice, but is still expected to start Thursday's game against the Coyotes, Paul Hamilton of WGR Sports Radio 550 reports.
Hackett nor the Sabres' training staff seems especially concerned about the minor knee issue, but coach Ted Nolan said he'd wait until Thursday morning before making a call on the goalie's availability for the game. Though he was handed a loss over the weekend to the Predators, Hackett turned in his best outing of the season, stopping an impressive 40 of 43 shots in the shutout defeat.

Coach Ted Nolan said the Sabres are planning to start Hackett for Thursday's game against the Coyotes.
Thursday might represent one of the few legitimate opportunities for a Buffalo goalie to pick up win the rest of the way, as the rudderless Coyotes seemingly don't have designs of playing competitively any longer. While Hackett might make for a decent spot start for fantasy owners scrambling for any wins they can get, the ratios aren't likely to be very pretty. Over his three outings this season, Hackett has posted a 4.34 GAA and .893 save percentage.

Hackett made 40 save on 43 shots in Saturday's loss to the Predators.
While Hackett played well Saturday, the Sabres couldn't solve Pekka Rinne, resulting in a third straight defeat for the 25-year-old. With Anders Lindback appearing to be the go-to-guy in Buffalo, Hackett doesn't hold much fantasy value right now, especially when you consider his lackluster .893 save percentage and 4.34 GAA.

Hackett will start in net against the Predators.
Hackett is still in search of his first win on the season. He'll take the ice for just his third time in 2015 with a lackluster save percentage of .867 and an equally poor 5.22 GAA.

Coach Ted Nolan said after Friday's loss to the Devils that Hackett would "probably" start Saturday against the Predators.
The Sabres stuck with Anders Lindback for both ends of a back-to-back set earlier in the week, but coach Ted Nolan was reluctant to do the same again for the weekend after Lindback only stopped 24 of 27 shots in Friday's defeat. Hackett has made only two previous appearances with the Sabres this season, surrendering eight goals on 60 shots (.867 save percentage) while taking the loss on both occasions. He'll be a heavy underdog on the road Saturday against one of the best teams in the Western Conference, especially if they counter in net with No. 1 netminder Pekka Rinne.
