Duchene stuffed the stat sheet with a goal and two assists in a 6-1 win over Montreal on Saturday.

With a tally in nearly every stat category, Duchene finished with a power-play goal, two assists, two penalty minutes, and skated to a plus-3 rating. It was a busy night for the center, who seems to have finally found his groove after struggling in the first month of the season. Since the turn of the calendar, Duchene has seven goals and five assists in seven games played.

Duchene scored the game-winning goal in Thursday's 3-2 win over the Bruins.

EDGE Analysis

Duchene got a great feed from Mikhail Girgorenko and had no trouble beating the scrambling Tuukka Rask for his seventh goal. The 24-year-old is in the midst of his best stretch of the season, scoring six goals with two assists over his past five games.

Duchene scored twice and added a power-play assist Tuesday in a 4-0 win over the Flyers.

EDGE Analysis

The Avs' upcoming opponents had better look out, as Duchene is heating up, having ripped off five goals and a pair of assists in the last five games after managing just two points in the season's first 10 games. At just 24 years old, Duchene should still have plenty of productive seasons ahead of him, and there's no reason this can't be one now that he's over his slow start.

Duchene broke out of his scoring slump with two goals in Tuesday's 6-3 win over the Flames. One goal was on the power play.

EDGE Analysis

It was another long wait between goals for Duchene, but at least he was able to chip in twice for the struggling Avalanche. Duchene also had six shots on goal in 17:01. He gets the benefit of a nice matchup Thursday against the Coyotes.

Duchene scored his first goal of the season on Sunday against the Kings in a 2-1 loss.

After a disappointing start in the first four games, Duchene was able to get his first point of the season on a power play goal in which he collected a centering pass on the backside and was able to bury the puck on a wide open net. The top line center has been nearly a ghost in the first four games, with only three shots in those four games but was able to turn it on for this one, finishing the night with the power-play goal on three shots and collected two penalty minutes.

Duchene has been a non-factor through Colorado's first two games.

EDGE Analysis

Duchene has seen his least amount of time on the ice since the 2011-12 season. The lack of playing time has resulted in just two shots on goal and no points. This slow start gave him a minus-3 rating, worst on the Avalanche. However, Duchene will try again Wednesday when Colorado challenges a winless Boston at home.

Duchene scored his 21st goal of the season and added an assist in Friday's 4-2 win over the Ducks. Dutchy has found twine three times in the last four games. Even though his 53 points aren't quite in the ballpark of last year's career-high 70, he's just two goals shy of his total from last season, so Duchene has certainly found a way to redeem himself after an extremely slow start. He could very well set a new best in SOG (203, 14 shy of 2013-14's 217 with four games remaining), so keep the 24-year-old pencilled into your lineup for the final week of the season.

Duchene scored a power-play goal in a 5-1 loss to San Jose on Wednesday. Duchene had a very active game against the Sharks, netting a power-play goal with two penalty minutes and five shots but finished with a minus-2 rating. After a lackluster performance against Edmonton on Monday, the forward appeared much more determined against San Jose, constantly creating scoring opportunities and putting the puck on net. The power-play goal gives Duchene 20 goals on the season and is the fourth time in six seasons the forward has scored 20 goals with at least 30 assists.

Duchene registered an assist and five shots on goal in Saturday's win over the Flames. In six March contests, Duchene has a goal, two assists, and 22 shot attempts. That production is certainly still useful, but it's still represented a little bit of a letdown for Duchene, who has failed to get going at all this season. After tallying a career-best 70 points in 2013-14, the 24-year-old has only 44 over 69 games, including just a goal and three assists on the power play.

Duchene set up two goals in Friday's shootout win over the Stars. Duchene helped the Avs get on the board halfway through the second period, leaving the puck for Tyson Barrie at the right circle to even the score at 1-1. He would later get credit for a secondary assist on Jarome Iginla's marker, giving him a total of seven points in his five games against the Stars this season.
