Duchene (personal) is expected to miss the entirety of the Senators' upcoming three-game road trip, TSN 1200 Ottawa reports.
EDGE Analysis
Duchene is currently at home with his wife who is expected to give birth to their first child at "any time." The 27-year-old pivot will almost certainly be unavailable for Ottawa's next three contests, but he should be ready to return Jan. 16 for a home matchup with the Avalanche.

Duchene has left the team to be with his wife, who is expecting to give birth in the near future, Dean Brown of the Senators Radio Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Duchene's departure from the team likely leaves him a question mark to play in Wednesday's game against the Ducks and possibly Thursday against the Kings as well. If he winds up sitting out, either Nick Paul or Darren Archibald would presumably slot in.

Duchene, as expected, will be in the lineup against the Devils on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Duchene was already taken off injured reserve on Wednesday, which cleared the way for him to play, but the team has no officially confirmed the center will suit up. In 29 games this season, the Ontario native has racked up 12 goals and 22 helpers and is on pace to crack the 50-point mark for the seventh time in his NHL career.

Duchene (lower body) has been removed from injured reserve, per the NHL media site.
EDGE Analysis
Duchene's activation should be the last step in his recovery process and fantasy owners can expect the all-star center to return to Ottawa's first line and top power-play unit. The Ontario native -- who missed the last six games -- notched six goals and seven helpers in 10 games before sustaining his lower-body issue.

Duchene (lower body) won't play versus the Predators on Monday, but could be an option for Friday's tilt against the Devils, Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
Duchene -- who will miss his sixth straight outing due to his lower-body issue -- had hit a mini slump prior to getting hurt, as he managed just one helper in his previous three contests. Once he returns to the lineup, the center should resume his pursuit of a seventh 50-plus point campaign.

Duchene (lower body) is improving and could be ready as soon as Monday's matchup with Nashville, Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
While the news effectively rules Duchene out for the next two games, it certainly sounds like he will be ready sooner rather than later. Prior to getting hurt, the center tallied just one point in his previous three games, but perhaps more concerning, registered a lone shot in those contests. If the Ontario native wants to get back on track, he will need to start putting pucks on net. Before he can return to the lineup, Duchene will need to be activated off injured reserve which will likely send Nick Paul or Stefan Elliott back to the minors.

Duchene (lower body) has been designated for injured reserve, per the NHL media site.
EDGE Analysis
While the team has not provided any additional details regarding Duchene's lower-body issue, the fact that he is on injured reserve likely confirms the initial reports of a long-term absence. At a minimum, the all-star center will miss the next three games. Prior to getting hurt, the center racked up 34 points in 29 games and was sporting a career-high 19.4 shooting percentage. Chris Tierney should see the biggest uptick in ice time, as he figures to assume a top-six role in Duchene's stead.

According to coach Guy Boucher, Duchene (lower body) "could be" dealing with a long-term injury, Ken Warren of the Ottawa Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
It'd obviously be a huge blow to the Senators and fantasy owners alike if Duchene's sidelined long term, as he's been Ottawa's best forward this season, leading the team in scoring with 12 goals and 34 points in 27 games. Another update on the 27-year-old's condition will be released in the coming days.

Duchene (lower body) won't return to Thursday's game.
EDGE Analysis
Duchene left in obvious discomfort, and the forward's status beyond Thursday's contest remains to be seen. He was minus-1 in 8:04 prior to departing. Look for Ottawa to update his status following the game.

Duchene exited Thursday's game against the Canadiens due to an undisclosed injury, Steve Warne of TSN 1200 Ottawa reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Senators have yet to release any details regarding Duchene's status, but at this point it appears as though he's likely a long shot to return to Thursday's contest. Another update on his status should surface prior to Saturday's game against the Penguins.
