Necas scored an even-strength goal and added a power-play assist in Sunday's 2-1 win over the Coyotes.
EDGE Analysis
He got Carolina on the board late in the second period, then helped set up Brett Pesce for the game-winner late in the third. Necas has one goal and four points through eight games to begin the season, but his spot in the top six and on the power play will give him plenty of chances to get hot.

Necas was held off the scoresheet in Saturday's 5-1 win over Columbus, giving him just a pair of assists in four games to start the season.
EDGE Analysis
Necas notched a career-high 41 points in 53 games last season, so this is likely just a case of getting off to a slow start. He is surrounded by some pretty elite talent in Raleigh, and Necas continues to play a top-six role on the second line alongside Andrei Svechnikov and Vincent Trocheck. The points will come.

EDGE Analysis
Necas set up Brock McGinn's first-period marker to tie the game at 1-1. Through six playoff contests, Necas has two goals, three assists and 11 shots on net. The Czech forward should continue to work in a top-six role, which should lead to reasonable chances to produce offense.

The 22-year-old Necas took a step forward on offense with a career-high 41 points in just 53 games during the regular season. He should continue to work in a top-six role during the playoffs while also earning time on both the power play and the penalty kill.

Necas scored a shorthanded goal on two shots and added two hits in Thursday's 2-1 overtime loss to the Blackhawks.

Necas recorded his fifth straight game without a point in Saturday's 2-1 overtime win against the Blue Jackets.
EDGE Analysis
Necas may be scuffling a bit right now, but he does have a career-best 37 points in 48 games and a team-high plus-minus rating of plus-23. He is currently playing in a top-six role for the Canes, averaging 17:21 in ice time with almost two minutes per game on the power play.
